Wedge in game is a snap shot of Red 2 at the battle of Yavin.
So there might be a new version of him coming soon?
On a different but related topic, I've been thinking that it'd be cool if there were a Rebel Pilot (or maybe Red Squadron/Rogue Squadron) subfaction.
It'd be a home for Wedge and Biggs, and possible new characters could include Red Leader (Garven Dreis), Gold Leader (Dutch Vander—maybe he becomes the Rebel Y-Wing pilot?), Corran Horn, Tycho Celchu (A-Wing pilot?), or, heck, Jek Porkins. There are a lot of possibilities, anyway. The hotshot, orange-jumpsuit team. :P
And positive side-effect of giving us more pilots is the option for more ships to freshen up fleets.
CommanderBarcara , that might be true. But it doesn't have to be. The fact that R2-D2 and C-3PO have Galactic Republic, Rebel, and Resistance tags means that characters don't have to be snapshots. Carson Teva himself has both Rebel and New Republic tags, so his character straddles time periods as well.
I’m almost certain we’re getting a New Republic fleet with all the pilots being released. Col Ward is a pilot, Zeb is a pilot, Carson is a pilot R5 is an astromech, Mando is a pilot, possibly a Razorcrest 2 with a New Republic Cruiser.
id love to see more rebels from both the battle of Yavin and Endor. It’s my sincerest hope that we get Talie Lintra and her A-Wing as a Resistance lifter.
What about Pilot Luke?
He blew up the Death Star on his first day in the Rebellion
because thats the rebel version of him.
This, and a GL too as they can link a lot of the OG rebels many won't have at high relics as reqs alongside the new Republic reqs.
Quite decent as the free LSTs can be used on them to get a bit of the way there.
I think that's likely because it would make people spend for him. But I'm privately hoping they just make Farmboy Luke the pilot for Red 5, since I already have him at relics. It'd give him some relevance, since he's not that useful otherwise.
Same reason R2 isn't, despite C3PO having all the different tags. CG is consistently inconsistent.
I see Pilot Luke as someone who'll have strong synergy with Biggs and Wedge, and I sound like a broken holorecording for saying this, but he would bring the Wiggs renaissance
