Why isn't Darth Maul free to play yet?

Who wants to get him anyway ? He's the worst character in the game ! I thought mods would help him get better, but he still sucks imo

As if Kit Fisto is that much better. He got a slight rework to be okay, before that he was as bad as Maul. Maul has always been useful in GW at least, mowing down Jedi. And with TM advantage now, and his free TM per kill, his speed is hardly and issue in GW.

Because he's my favorite character that's why i want him and it's a good enough reason alone. I don't care if he's terrible or not, i'll continue to play the way i want to and i want Darth Maul so i can use him.

@UnderclassHero Darth Maul was also in the game before Rex, which means Darth Maul deserves to be free-to-play before Rex anyways.

i would just like to know the reason for holding him back? Please let us know @EA_Jesse @CG_CapGaSP someone?

We strive to have a rotation of characters exclusive to Chromium Packs, nodes and other areas of the game in order for all players of any type to collect their favorite characters as they choose. Darth Maul's time in the free-to-play space will come. But it is not this time.

I got no problem with that Maul is one of my favorites as well. I think the Devs have certain characters THEY like and its quite obvious Maul is NOT one of them. Maul hasn't been touched since day one, they don't feature him, he is not in challenges, no events for him and he is only a boss in 1 Cantina battle (that I can remember) so Maul seems the ONLY reason he is in the game at all is to complete the roster with SW characters he was a notable person in Phantom Menace so they probably would get a lot of flak if they left him out.

But I don't see any love for Maul, and I don't understand it either. A few people have brought it up.

Believe me NO ONE has spent more time on Maul trying to make him work.. I have him almost Max gear, 7*, and spent like several hours swapping mods testing in GW trying to get him to work.. NOTHING works just make him lead and sic him on majority Jedi groups is all he is good for. Once he loses in protection his is done, Rey will see to that..

Don't know why he isn't free, since he REALLY needs some work, its quite sad really.
