Why potency on st han?

Question

As the title says, why is potency in the recomended mods for st han?
Im putting together a sana staros team and St Han seems to be a good member.
Ive never taken a close look at his kit before and noticed the thing with potency mods and cant figure out why.
Is it the tm removal that improves with higher potency?
If you know the answer pls tell me where youve found it because i cant find any official text about it.

Yes, the TM removal mechanic passes through the Potency/Tenacity gate check, so the higher your potency the more likely the TM removal.

Where do you find that information? Because I also hear potency does not effect this specific ability. But no one is giving me a source

Personally i think building st han to survive and giving tm to allies is more important than applying bluff to enemies.
