I'm impressed by how are trying to make everyone look **** in a non-offensive manner.
"Making someone look bad in a non-offensive manner" is normally called correcting a mistake. Why's your ego so big that you assume someone correcting you is a personal attack? Trust me, even when I'm NOT trying to attack someone, we'll all know it because that one EA mod (non-volunteer) will ban me for a day again even though no posts were reported...
I can admit when I make mistakes, like this one. My ego's fine. What's up with you? Everything good?- Oh, but, hey, also? Ship energy counts towards the Tuesday spend any energy activity. I was at 486, I did a sim of 5-C, I'm at 496 now. So now you get an excellent opportunity to be the bigger man and cop to having made a mistake the way I did up above. Hooray for personal growth!
- I will not continue to discuss with you NicWester, you make an argument and before anyone can make counterpoint you move straight to insults. This may or may not be offensive when you check the wording, but it's devised to make your opponents - so to speak - move one step further and cross the line.
I did make a mistake - spent energy in full 100s, so didn't notice the difference right away.
Thank you for making me notice.
Also, I'm putting you on the ignore list as your way of speaking in unacceptable for any grown up. - Let's stay on topic please.

It's not a plot. It's a business plan.
It's a business plan, for sure. That's not at issue. The issue is whether it's a fair plan or not, and in my opinion it's very fair. The "grand unified field theory" I referenced is how some players can connect a great big web of red string to prove that literally everything is some devious underhanded tactic to steal your money.
The options are to count ship energy toward the cap and leave the cap at 600, which cuts into spending and makes raids more frequent, and while that's great for us, it doesn't really do a whole lot for them. Raising it to 900--or even 800--would mean you HAVE to make a purchase to cap things out, which would be awful for players. Keeping the cap where it is and not counting ship energy is a good compromise that gives the best of both options--raid frequency remains unchanged, we don't have to spend to hit the cap, and we get 16.5 free shots at good gear a day."Xezee;c-1586626" wrote:
Apparently spending ship energy doesn't count in guild activity "Energy in battles" which says "Spend any energy".
Please don't make an argument this is by design, because Wednesday activity was changed (from GW nodes) same time ships rework and ship energy introduction were announced. Design was obviously to incorporate ship table to guild activities rotation.
And it doesn't work.
What it actually says is "Spend Energy/Cantina Energy," not "spend any energy."
There are three types of energy, you can verify this by tapping the count on the UI:
Ship Energy, which is used in ships, duh-doy.
Cantina Energy, which is used in Cantina and mod challenges.
Energy, which is only used for light/dark squad battles.
If they intended for Ship Energy to count, the activity would read "Spend any energy" or would specify that ship energy counted. I mean, yeah, you're right that calling generic light/dark energy just Energy is a little ambiguous. But it's still working as intended.
Thru daily activities you get 165 free crystals a day. Thru arenas you likely make a few more. You can reach 600, 800, even 900 without making a purchase (unless you are referring to a refresh as a purchase... I'm referring to using actual money...). You just have to decide your priorities - Ship.
Energy.
Counts.
Towards.
Guild.
Challenge.
WOW.
And it didn't even take a complete rework of the economics of the payout to make it happen, huh? - Hard Node Battles? Yep, Ship Energy counts there, too. Also, no recalculation of the tiers needed!
- TBH I suspect they know that spending crystals on ship energy refreshes won't be a popular thing, at least at first at least. The value of such crystals spent is a bit low considering the rewards are more or less on par with dark/light side hard modes, but the energy costs twice as much.
Raising the bar and forcing everyone to use a bit more crystals for energy refreshes isn't such a great thing to do, and I'm glad they aren't doing that for awhile. - thedrjojo7 years agoSeasoned Newcomer

You get 165 free crystals a day. That could be 3 refreshes of regular or 360 additional tickets. "NicWester;c-1584470" wrote:
Yeah, I was disappointed at first but it makes sense. Most folks spend their free crystals on energy to hit 600. Adding 165 free energy a day would stop that unless you raise it to 900, but then people would be mad that now they need two refreshes to hit the goal. Even if they only raised it to 800 you’d still need more than one refresh.
Actually this would be a good idea if you raise the max earnable energy per day and player to 900 while keeping the cap guild wide on 30k and the raid requirements would also stay the same. This way you would not need to rely on every of the 50 members to get his full 600 in order to get max raid tickets.
