Fortunately, this round, I still managed to sneak a win in the last matchup, so I ended in spot #6, which should be the same as #5-#7 with a single win.
#8 obviously got relegated to Kyber 2.
#5 and #7 are still in Kyber 1.
Me, at #6 got relegated to Kyber 2.
We have been told it is the Skill Rating that sets who gets dropped, and #5 has 3,540, #7 has 3,528 and me at #6 has 3,525. So that checks out.
But wasn't the original skill rating supposed to be based on GP alone? #7 has 7.5M, I have 7.4M, and #5 has 7.3M,
Why is my new skill rating less than #5's? I have (and most likely had) more GP than them at the start, and we both had one win.
It really is not a big deal that I was relegated, but to me it seems like bad math.
The order of your wins mattered. Guy who won in 1st round beat a higher SK and therefore lost to a higher SK at least in round 2.
I think that's what's happening.
