Why were crystal shards packs removed???

Tonight I finally got a chance to go in and get a 7 star Hate fueled Maul. All I needed to do was purchase the last remaining Vader shards but they disappeared. My question is why would $$CG$$ think this was a good idea???  The maul event runs for 5 more hours!!!  I checked every store and webstore and nothing available for any of the toons required for maul event!!!!  It just doesn’t make any sense at all!!!
