It isn't a 6-7 month farm. It's 1+ to 2+ years. It's unacceptable. It's absolutely unreasonable to think people will be hanging around for that long when the game itself hasn't even been out for that long. Also, the heroes will be entirely irrelevant by that point, g12 won't be a thing anymore (probably g14/15), zetas won't even matter, or the game will have shut down.
The length of this 7* grind is absolutely, 100%, garbage.
I fully grasp its a 2 year farm at this point...if you want to put zero resources into it and farm it at the slowest possible pace, which is why people crying about 2 year farm is ridiculous.
I also grasp you can cut that length in half doing 1 event refresh a month that overall you can fund with crystals from just doing your dailies even if you get zero arena payouts.
I also grasp that you can cut that farm down even further by buying some MT crystal packs if you place well enough in arenas to get crystals on payout.
I also grasp you can cut that farm down even further by doing exactly what the devs want you to do and buy the 9.99 pack for 25 shards(3 months off the farm right there) and/or buying some crystals for packs, and in 6 months from now when they are about to release a few more top tier toons with a similar release cadence we'll probably see an 80 shard MT pack for 20 bucks.
Is it a 6 month farm for everyone? Absolutely not. For some it was a 1 day farm. For others its going to be a 1 month farm, a 6 month farm, a year farm, or longer. Its really no different than previous legendary releases...this one just depends more on how you want to prioritize resources going forward rather than your total accumulation of past resources.
