Zeta Materials For End Game Players

With all the missteps made by CG lately that has risen the ire of it's customers and vexing pretty much everyone to some degree, I have a suggestion that I think would please everyone in the game.

Make zeta materials available on a more consistent basis from ship abilities challenge and/or make a forth tier in the regular abilities challenge that is on par with end game users. I.e. needs good mods, g12, maxed abilities to complete.

I know I would be pretty happy with such a change to my game.

    Agreed. They’ve added a couple of new ways to get zetas, but it’s not keeping pace with the expansion of toons requiring them. Starved resources means we’ll only zeta a “sure thing” and creates stale gameplay. I secretly thing there’s a place for the chewie zeta, but given the extraordinary limits on those materials I’d never gamble on sticking one on him. Kidding. Kinda.

    Unless you're a whale and spent money on them most people don't have a 7* wicket or mt so no zetas there. Even for end game users with gp's over 2m.

    If you don’t have more than 3M GP, you shouldn’t really call yourself end-game user. End-game users mostly have or will have shortly 7* Wicket and MT. End-game users place top-spot at Fleet Arena, are in big guilds to get zeta/omega in TW. Etc, etc.
    From a recent math I did, I get in a month (abstracted to 28 days, so it’s actually more) 56-68 zeta mats and 67-71 omega mats. Plenty enough. ;)


    good for you. but end game users are anyone who has reached lvl 85 and has unlocked all the nodes and challenges in my opinion. Not just those with 3 mil GP.


    "end-game" is a term that is loosely defined on the forums because there is no true "end-game" since new character sand content are constantly being released.

    Your definition though, would fall under "mid-game" in my opinion. Congrats on all you've done, but I'd categorize "end-game" for those players clearing all 3 heroic raids. A category I'm not included in with my 3M+ GP.


    So wait before the Sith raid my 2.5 mil gp made me end game but now I'm not hmmm... how confusing.
  • Once you have fleet arena mostly farmed out, you can buy a zeta ever couple of days easily. This with events adds up pretty quickly. I don't see omegas as a problem. You get one a day for dailies and several from various events. The amount needed is only about 10 to 15 when you need 20 zetas. The solution to the "omega crunch" is to save some up when you get close to having enough zetas. I spend purple mats and omegas up until it get 14 or 15 zetas then save enough to use on the zeta. Occasionally if you miscalculated you may have to wait a couple days but it's not a big crunch. And until you get the fleet store farmed, the zeta crunch sucks. Just how it is. But you have to farm the fleet store to place high enough in fleet arena to buy zetas anyway so there really is no shortcut. But if you are mid or endgame you should be there by now. And if you are mid or endgame and only scoring in the top 200 in fleet arena that is what is hurting your zeta progress. Build your fleet and get in the top 20. You get more fleet currency to buy more zetas. Not to mention you get more crystals to buy other stuff.

    My first statement should clear that up for you.

    If it doesn't, whatever, it's all subjective anyway.
  • I place in the top 50 in both arenas and can get a zeta mat around 4 per week. But that's slowed by getting everything that there is in the store. So I have to sacrifice somewhere, which is part of the game. But I was mainly referring to ships mat challenges. I went for 4 weeks without having a single zeta drop from there. And it was pretty hard to get to that point. So I'm saying I would like it if they increased the chance to get a zeta or two per completion in ships challenges or ad a chance to get them from another tier in the daily challenges.
  • I agree that zetas aren't so bad right now, especially when your guild reaches the 2-3 zeta rewards for TW, and you are placing top 3 daily in fleet arena and purchasing only zetas with the currency.

    I also have a more frustrating time with Omegas. Needing 10 for zeta abilities doesn't help.

  • I usually get somewhere between 2 and 3 omega abilities between each zeta ability is ready and have never had to wait on omegas
