100%, and this is what PJ doesn’t seem to understand.
This isn’t about players wanting to apply every zeta immediately. As has been commented on by others that would be pointless without the shards, gear and relic mats to take them up to useful levels, particularly for Kyber GAC, making links with the squish even more asinine.
Looking at 2023 as the most recent info:
There have been 25 new zetas on marquee characters, 6 on a new GL, 3 on a new JG character, and 9 on new conquest characters. That makes 43 new zeta abilities, so 860 needed not to be running at a deficit. Being generous and saying that 8 maybe aren’t that great you’d still need 700 zetas coming in for a player to not be increasing their deficit while staying competitive with what’s being released, and that’s ignoring newer players who may be working up teams at a faster rate than what’s being released by CG. With maybe 250-300 mats coming from fleet arena rewards if you’re consistently hitting top 50, maybe less, that seems like a lot to be getting from other sources, possibly another 30 a month.
Yes, obviously it’s a resource management game, but this seems a bit large of a deficit even so. YMMV. ?♂️
