Kanan is also part of the Phoenix, so it will definately still be worth it to farm him wether he's on your team or not.
Grand master Yoda will make an excellent addition to your team once you unlock him (requires a team of 5 jedi at 5* or more to unlock GMY during his event).
Old ben could be a good tank for you, not only on a team of jedi. Furthermore, he's required to unlock Commander Luke Skywalker.
