Another battle of who has the most ally points. This is an improvement over who has the biggest crystal vault, but it is still repetitive and boring. It's just a big pvAI spree. How about the devs set a common enemy, and then everyone competes against the same opponent to see who has the best setup. It could be a cumulative enemy at certain levels/phases like the Rancor or the AAT tank. and the players points would add up until the end of the tournament. Then everything is level, and it is left to us to figure the best strategies to advance in the tourney.

Possible tweaks that I believe would address both the repetitiveness and relatively limitless grind.1. Defensive squads can be set once per refresh.2. Battles won on defense will award points = to 10% of the potential reward for the attacking team.3. A maximum of 10 refreshes for each toon4. A toon only NEEDS to be refreshed if it is actually defeated in battle (otherwise the toon can be refreshed at players' discretion to refresh the toon's HP/protection and/or cooldowns.5. For no. 2 listed above to work, it require offensive points and defensive points to be listed separately on the arena Matches screen. Total points will be displayed in the rankings summary like normal. 6. No. 1 listed above will allow players' to determine how effective their squad is and will allow for 2 adjustments for the length of the tournament. If a squad is too tough, it will not be attacked and earn no points. If it is too easy, it will also earn no points.Edit: added 5. and 6.

Giving points for defense opens the tournament up to collusion. See someone from your guild, attack with your five weakest characters, get beat badly, give points to your friend.

Whatever EA comes up with there will always be people like you complaining. You think the tournament is boring? Good. Don't participate.

What about this game isnt repetitive lol... and in a sense gets boring. We battle perty much same arena guys, perty much same galactic war, then farm the same cantina nodes forever, grind the same gear on the same normal battles, then raid the same way in the pit and AAT. Lol. Is all repetitive and bori g but we build rewards up so we can try and do better harder stuff to move away from our current boring trend lol.... same cycle... but its star wars so we love it lol

Just cap the number of times you can play like in challenges. Its not just ally coins that's the problem ( or crystals for that matter ) its also a time sencitive thing. Not everyone has time to play it 59 times to get a good ranking.

Now actual player v player in real time would be the ultimate solution. A list of players who are currently online. Pick a player to fight, the player you pick gets an inbox notification, he has 5 minutes to accept battle.

Going to have to disagree with this. The tourney works well. It's just added content that you don't even need to take part in. It's not about crystals, so it's not about spending money. The credits alone are free just for entering. Someones always got more than you. The word "fair" to most people means, structure the event like "this" so I can win. Just going up against players outside our guilds is fun.
