Are there whales that know how to play?

Question

This might seem like a dum question but as I’m relatively new to game had to ask.

Most of my whale encounters have included bosk on early fleet month before needed and typical revan to ensure top positions and minimal drop even when u stop playing.

But then I notice one whale with relatively less gp than others that inflate it 1.7 vs over 2 mil. But not just that has a F2P minset of effectively managing time and resources towards a progression.

22 g12 JTR top hsith in a guild with 3 mil players. Is this a exemption to assumption most whales spend resources to inflate gp .
because not sure F2P can compete if the only difference is who will spend thousands on game and who won’t lol.

How much you spend or dont has nothing to do with knowing how to play.

And it's funny to see them try and piggy back on the EP teams because their mods are terrible and they can't beat the better modded Revans. But of course still lose to the 180 speed Revans on defense even though they aren't even close to my speeds. So now I stay out of the top 10 so they can't piggy back me and climb closer to payout.  I’m a expert on piggyback I’m newer so this issue I deal with bastila leads that get top 50 by climbing the few lone eps only 6 so they get desperate lol. Had to waste like 5-7 fights yesterday to send a message and targeted 2 jedi teams that moved up on my line just to drop both. I only wasted 2 fights today got one jedi to understand that has tried this before few more and I’ll be good lol.LOL yeah I hear ya. Sometimes that's all you can do.

There are no whales. It's a myth. There are pandas though.

There are. There are a few in my shard that are top of the arena. They have revan, g12 on all of them and really good mods. But for the one in my shard that has them modded really well, there are probably 20 more that paid for revan and have hime either poorly modded or only decently modded.

But even our focused whale gets beaten. I can't beat his revan team but I don't have to to take top 5 in arena.

what's you're describing isn't P2P vs. F2P, you're describing competitor vs. collector. People have different goals with how they allocate in-game and personal resources. Some people want to be top of the arena, some just really like collecting and building teams they find interesting. Some may just think they get more enjoyment out of playing a large number of factions that are G11 instead of G12 (money probably goes further that way).

The producers of the game have said repeatedly that there is no one right way to play this game. To each their own.
