I don't blame the gamechangers, but do you really think ea/cg is giving early access to stuff out of the kindness of their hearts?

There's no such thing as being 100% objective. Everyone has biases. The reviewers that are granted test accounts, interviews and publicity by EA must of course be careful not to be hyper critical, as they'd obviously lose their priviliges if they posted long whining rants about how much they think EA sucks. That said, the tinfoil hat approach of dismissing people as EA-controlled puppets, whose opinions and arguments have no value at all, is the type of simple-minded thinking I disagree with.

I've been subscribed to MobileGamer and Ahnald for some months, and in that time I've heard them be critical of things in the game on multiple occasions, for instance calling some packs practically worthless, finding GW and TB chores, and being unimpressed by upcoming characters. For instance they weren't too impressed with R2 to begin with, but now think he's one of the best. Likewise, before Rey was released, both of them agreed that even though they thought she looked good, she looked like a let down compared to CLS, and that she appeared to be too dependent on resistance to become one of the top toons in the arena and that we shouldn't panic about getting her. This is not how mindless PR agents work. That's the types of comments you'd expect from two fans of the game expressing their honest opinions.

While I suppose some would agree with you, she's only been out a day. Why don't you give it a week till some knowledgeable folks have some time to play with her and then decide? Also no doubt more rez will be introduced.

If they made her a plug and play toon. The meta would basically be the same. In this case I'm not sure she is even arena viable which is different than nightsisters and unmasked. So I believe the devs thought she would do better. There is still a likely chance there is a squad that does extremely well that hasn't really isn't known yet.

The will probbly release new resistance characters in the next few weeks maybe couple of months, but I dont want to use 2 - 3 star characters that are released in those god fosaken marquee events. I took me a lot to get rey and now they might put another ginourmous pay wall in front of her optimized squad?

she should not be as good as CLS, but she should be good enough to make it on the starting 5 of an arena team which it appears she is not

The meta consist of several characters, many of whom can't bypass foresight. If you only encountered teams filled entirely with Raid Hans, then I'd agree that the foresight wouldn't help much.

One of the things that confuses me the most is her zeta: gives 40% chance to remove all debuffs when she gets debuffed. You have to spend a Zeta to this poop while ATF has an insanely better skill no zeta needed

I guess you have to reserve judgement until you get her in an all Zeta-ed, God mods equipped, G12 team. ;)

Have you seen those videos? ALL of their characters are faster than ALL of the enemies characters. That is not how this game works. |They are fighting agasint squads that have horrible mods. |Their Rey attacked before the enemy R2, how is that even possible?
