Avoiding Re-Modding

So, I don’t like dealing with mods. I just don’t have that kind of time and have read too many stories about accidentally selling good mods. Usually I just move my “best sets” for events and otherwise match them up with teams.

However, having the Executor means I’m getting a lot higher in GAC, and I’m trying to develop several more relic teams (Padme/QGJ, GG Droids, and GAS, then eventually JMK) who have different uses.

So I guess what I’m asking is, are there any tips for modding teams that you’re planning to use in several areas (mainly GAC vs Conquest vs LSGTB vs Challenge Rancor) without planning to remod? Any specific teams that need extra care like Shaak Troopers? Anything helps.

I’ll be honest I rarely ever remod characters, and if I do it’s for KAM.

Or if I’m just completely remodding characters that I’ve had for awhile back when I didn’t know how to mod them.
  • I mean persoanlly id say focus mods mainly on GAC, as that is the main crystal income, and dont worry too much on conquest and TB. Conquest is more about datadisks then mods as all enemeys have 200+ speed added to them. For TB i only remod for KAM, otherwise once you have solid loadout setup from GAC i find most TBs arent that bad, i usually get 3-4/4 on most battles unless im trying a random new team (like off beat omi ROLO teams) or trying to use my weak jedi. (I have enoigh jedi for 1 mission but the other never goes well for now).

Challenge rancor id say depends on if you really need the higher ranks in it, or have to get so much damage to help clear. Otherwise if your in agood position i wouldnt worry about mod optimization.

As for team needing special care, id say that mainly boils to the normal teams that prefer specific turn orders with speed. Drevan, Imp troopers, BAndo, normal mando, ect.

Best advice for trying a GAC focus mod loadout primarily is start with the important characters and teams first and make them the best (super fast Badstilla, healthy Grievous and Padme, Imp trooper perfect turn order, or just whoever are your strongest teams)

It seems to be a never ending part of the game. I hate remodding as well, but it is necessary at times. The good part is that when you finally get that one killer mod, you have a big hand me down effect for your other toons. The biggest problem is so many characters need the same sets, usually with the same primaries. At this point, I just pick a faction or team, look up the best advice for mods, and focus on them until I'm done and then rinse and repeat.
  • Strategy and META in GAC change frequently, and as this is the primary source of in-game currency, I suggest simply remodeling your entire roster once “enough” has changed in GAC that it’s hurting your chance at victory.

Personally, I remod several teams every 3-4 months on average… this is about the amount of time it takes me to farm a new team to relic levels and farm enough new mods to make it worthwhile for remodding.
  • I save my default load outs tab for gac/tw. I keep ideal mod sets on a second tab to make transitioning easy for specific events. A few character's load outs typically cover the major archetypes needed for various game modes: one defense tank set, one speed tank set, 3 top speed sets, best off/pot, best off/HP, best cc/cd. These sets stay on normal characters that transition to cover just about every aspect of the game without having to do a massive remod.
I remod all defaults about once a month.
