Bastila Leadership Zeta?

Hey all,

Looking for advice.

Everyone says Bastila's Zeta/Leadership is amazing.

But at the same time I'm seeing a lot of posts about not doing it since once you get JKR then Bastila isn't the leader anymore.

I think JKR will be coming back in a few weeks but I'm no where near ready for him yet.

Which means it will probably be October? before I get him.

Given that is 4 months away & I will be hitting 84 this weekend, should I Zeta Bastila leader?

Its my understanding that it will make my Jedi even better than they currently are for the next 4 months but is that worth a wasted Zeta after that?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

If you're a few months out for JKR (like I am...) Bastillas zeta pays for itself SIMPLY in GA defense power. BAST-JEDI TERRITORIES ARE EXTREMELY TOUGH TO CLEAR as you are doubtless aware. For this reason also - it may be worthwhile getting the zeta even if you run her UNDER JKR because bast leads on defense and JKR leads offense GA. The Jedi affiliation is deep enough to front both squads at dangerous power levels... Run Jolee bindo and GMYoda under bastilla zeta for defense. Jolees revive Jedi ability makes in top of their massive prot and Yoda spank spank spanking away makes the team nigh invincible when employed in this manner. Scary good

Nope. Bastila lead team could be clear solo by nest. So they actually too weak
  • Bastila's zeta is quite good. However, in the addition to the fact that her zeta becomes obsolete in a JKR squad, BS lead is already amazingly awesome without the zeta. So if you're still at the early stages of developing your roster, the best choice might be to spend your zeta elsewhere.

However, that being said, in GA and TW, you don't always need BS with JKR at all, and JKR goes great with the pedestrian OR toons. Meaning you can build two very strong separate teams if you zeta her lead. But then you still don't really need her lead zeta for that either. No matter what you decide to do in this you can't go terribly wrong. Just try to prioritize building not just one, but three or four viable squads. Usually that means at least one zeta per squad so plan carefully.
  • So it seems the forum will censor Bastila Shan's abbreviation. That's a tad extreme don't you think @CG ? x)

    Yeah, that's what I'm doing.

On my way to 85 I worked up Phoenix, Empire, Scoundrels, & Jedi.

    I've just started a FO team as well & got 5* BB-8.

But I'm unsure where would be best to put the next Zeta.

Palpatine seems like a great choice of course, but so does Vader & Yoda.

Or save it for Jolee since his really makes a Jedi team even more durable too.
  • If you don't have Palpatine's lead yet then you should do it immediately, it might be the most transforative lead zeta in the game. His unique is much less important however. Also if you have a lot of sith then Darth Maul lead zeta is very worthwhile, very good team on both offense and defense, but only do Maul if you have enough sith for a Palp empire team and a Maul sith team. Bossk lead zeta for bounty hunters is also incredibly good. Jango's is arguable better for pvp, but Bossk isn't far behind and he's much more versatile. Oh and Nightsisters. They're another strong early accessible team that you might want to build towards.

Yeah, a lot of people like myself focused a lot on their arena team and not enough on their 10 squads

If you're going for JKR, don't bother. It was a great zeta for about a month when she first came out and people were running Bastila-lead Jedi as their arena team.

All the zeta adds, though, is pretaunt and a pile of tenacity, which is great for arena but a needless extravagance if you're just going to replace her with JKR. You may want to take it down the road if you split up your Jedi and use JKR and Bastila as separate leads in Grand Arena, but otherwise it will just sit there padding your GP.
