Battle timeout issue

hey guys
i've played this game for a long time by now and so did all my shardmates..
my shard is flooded with traya teams with sion, sith trooper, nest... all g12/12.5 and now also god mode mods
actually few full g12 bastilla teams with unbelievable amount of protection and life and so on...
recently I noticed that my biggest problem during my climbs is not to not be able to defeat my enemies but instead the time out...
about 80% of the battles I lose is because of the end of the 5 minutes, battles that very often I could easily win with 30sec/1min/2min of battle more

maybe the 5 minutes were enough with lvl 80 G9/10 toons... but now? and then? it will be worse even more
it should be considered to extend the time for battles at least to 6min, don't you think?

EDIT: https://swgoh.gg/u/badabumchacha/
  • this, in fact, is the whole purpose of the topic, 5 minutes battle were enough when g9 was the max equip level that you could reach
what I'm saying is that with overpowered g12.5 toons, that get way more survivability then damage is not enough anymore
  • my attack order is not always the same... it depends on enemy toons speed, on buff and debuff that can or cannot apply, on the enemy mods, on what the enemy AI decide to do...
  • But offense has scaled with defense. With a better variety of viable teams it means every team has it's counter, as well as it's mirror. If you keep running in to this problem, it's you not the game. For example, I run a Bastila squad. Gmy, gk, thrawn & wampa. I know I can take most other bastila teams I see, but it will be close on time every fight due to all the protection. I avoid Traya teams - Sion debuffs too often. EP teams it's 50/50. And JTR is a doddle if I can take out 2 of theirs before BB8 does his illuminate thing.
  • Saving Nihilus to last and not annihilating him will cost you a lot of time. He will be stacking health.
  • Listen, I'm sorry. My Shard is a launch Shard. Which means it's full of whales, kraken and veteran players. I haven't spent like that in over a year but I'm still competitive.

I maintained Top 5 long before I finished 7* and G12 my Scion. My Traya is still 5* because I can't be arsed enough to do more than the bare minimum in this raid that I can't stand.

My mods are slightly better than average. I fight people with multiple 20+ speed mods who far out speed me.

I can win almost any battle given the right strategy and takedown order.

What is your kill order and focus? And understand that sometimes, having your Nihilus and Traya go AFTER the enemy can actually work for you if you plan your play right.

When you don't stack up modwise, you just have to get creative.
  • order change every time, 1 fracture sith troop or sion, depends on who have taunt at the moment, usually prefer sith troop
    2 start to attack sion
3 second fracture often go to nihilus or on sith trooper again
4 I annihilate someone: sion if he has taunt on, traya if he doesn't and I see that my overhaul speed is higher than opponent, nihilus if I know he has his annihilate ready
5.... depends on who was annihilated first... of course... -_-'
  • anyway... no problem... I will very soon unlock traya and all my problems will be gone! she just 1shot anyone, everybody immune to debuff and so... I'm sure I will have no problem in winning in 2 min then
it's just sad that the entire game, 160+ toons and is all based on 1 single team
  • Try Bastila vs Bastila. I generally win the mirror matches, but some have come down to seconds or complete timeouts because of enemy RNG.

Starting with a focus on sion is fine, but not recommend. Also Vader is great and all but is just feeding them health and offense when debuffing them, another likely reason you are facing time issues.

Unless you come up with a good plan, even traya may not help you that much. Fyi
