Who is using teams without Hound’s Tooth and beating teams that have him?I’ve never liked it when you *must* have a certain ship to do well in ships. It used to be Biggs, and at one time Tie Reaper before the big ships change. Now in my shard it’s HT. I use one team that works and can get me to #1, but now that everyone has a 7* HT it’s getting harder. My stating lineup is Umbaran, Sunfac, and Tie Fighter. First reinforcement is Wedge. Second is usually Vader. Capital ship is Tarkin. Umbaran and SF take a beating but stay alive. Wedge shuts down HT long enough to destroy him. After that it just depends on how good or bad of shape my guys are in. It works well enough but not always. And it gets a bit boring running the same team in the same order battle after battle. I’ve been experimenting but unless I put a couple tanks up front in the beginning, one of my ships is dead before their HT is destroyed and it’s basically game over. For the heck of it I farmed Sith Fighter to 7* and maxes out pilot but she seems useless. A sith team doesn’t seem to work agains any HT team. What have you had success with?

Geo spy mass assist plus soldier assist call usually kills it, that or a big crit from Vader

There are several ways to take HT out quite fast, but it strongly depends on what else your opponent has.E.g. Vader (w/ offense up) needs few shots, Silencer's special (if he has loaded few stacks) can one-shot HT. You can also use Cassian's ship as RI to remove all buffs or buff immunity by ITF's special.

KRCS as first reinforcement. Strip buffs off Houndstooth, inflict healing immunity and ability block, and remove TM. TIE Silencer has usually built up a bunch of stacking offense by then through target lock attacks etc. Use his special with advantage, 150-185k damage. 7* HT dead. If it almost kills him, pass KRCS next turn back to silencer, advantage automatically plus cooldown reduced. Special again.KRCS is essentially like having a second capital ship on your side with the amount you can manipulate TM and buffs.

RNG always interferes with the best laid plans unfortunately. No guaranteed way to win 100% of the time.

You mean HT in place of Sun Fac with a pair of geos? Yeah.

My guy went from Geo Trio to the same HT/Vader/Silencer that most of the shard seems to have adopted. Not sure why. I've seen one or two with Sun Fac as a reinforcement (they seem to think that Sun Fac/Biggs/Boba will slow me down enough to time out? I dunno), but the other two Geos are nowhere to be seen.

Yes there's some HT Vader Silencer, but more are using HT Spy Soldier with Sun Fac as first RI.

Must be a shard thing. Not a lot of geos in my shard (aside from the one guy who ditched them).

Definitely could be a shard thing. I've heard of many shards with a lot of Mace's now. We still have just a single in the top 50 and he never gets above 20. I'm reasonably sure I'm lucky to be on one of the less active shards, I rarely fall out of top 20, sometimes stay in top 10.

The geos are actually the teams I target, my HT is unkillable when targeted by geos, they don't hit hard enough, and they hit too much, stacking protection up.

But when i face HT, I stun hit first with Silencer, then I target the others, and i keep HT Ability blocked, stunned ...
If he ever taunt, I just burst it down with Silencer special

This is what I was using for a bit and stopped. Forgot why until just now. Reinforced first with KRCS and hit HT with Jamming Array but the healing immunity didn’t stick. It was all downhill from there. This particular team had Vader and FOTF. First reinforcement was Biggs. Then usually Slave next. I get stuck behind this wall of taunts. Pretty good defense actually. Will try again.

Yeah, for sure. Just hit him three times with Jamming array and not one stuck. I think a little bad luck floats around me. :blush:

HT gets increased tenacity when not taunting I think?

I dont have KRCS, but I just use HT as a healing target for my Biggs/Vader Combo. Because he wont die and You can apply target lock constantly.

You can kill him with offense up on Vader with assist call (I use Ghost) and then Vaders basic back to back. Or just ignore him until your super. Guys on my server are running triple tanks, so you can just kill them when they reinforce and wait for Super to kill HT.
