Can Darth Nihilus lead compete in arena?

If we're talking about top 100, then 1% of DN led teams are breaking into it. I'm going to guess that that's mostly at the edge of that though, because if we're talking about the top 10, then it's basically 0%:

I can't really answer the last two since I've never run Sith. I imagine though that the DN leader zeta would be almost mandatory. That's just my guess though.

I use DN in my team but not sith.

Basically CLS (l), r2, GK, zolo, DN and gear #1.

When I get around to gearing thrawn you, he will replace DN.

I would focus on the Rebels if I were you Zeta Number Crunch and Shoots First and you're all set

Answer 2: no DN leadership remains bad for arena great for Galactic War though. But then again also without his zeta

Answer 3: don't do that, if you are running Zaul or Zader lead Dooku has a good zeta with the protection recovery. With Nihilus lead it just doesn't add enough to be worth the zetas

Listen @Dryff there will always be the sith haters. Is it easy to run Nihilus lead now? No. Is it way easier to run rebels or gk/zarris? Yes. But is is totally possible to run Nihilus lead and get top 10? YES!

I got 2nd for payout today, I've gotten first several times and my average payout rank is 16. I haven't finished outside of the top 50 in SEVERAL SEVERAL months.

1. Your 5th has to be palpatine right now. But you need Sass. No way around it. Panic farm her and get her as fast as you can.
2. I just put the zeta on Nihilus lead 4 days ago. Defense it doesn't help obviously. But it makes the climb very easy. I beat an all gold Threxus team today and finished with everyone full health and Thrawn with full protection.
3. Zeta Dooku is a massive waste. Do not do that

I use: zzDN (L) G11, zKylo G12, zSavage G11, Sith Trooper G12 and Sith Assassin G12. Savage will be replecad with GK as soon as I unlock him. With this team I reach top20 easily, from time to time top10. After night I drop to 25-35 place. Fast assassin is essential for DN lead. March 2017 Shard, full of CLS teams. They can be defeated as long as R2 can't use his specials at the begining of the encounter. I avoid teams with Han Solo. Bad RNG and fight is over if he stuns Sass. GK, Rex or Wedge lead is a piece of cake.

Sith leads such as Maul and Nihilus are only a broken toon or two off from being viable imo. The Maul lead core of Maul, zavage, and Nihilus is still very strong it's just that there isn't anyone else great to put in there-I ran this team for months the last two spots don't really have any great options. Sith assassin is probably your best bet with palp who is unreliable and needs a zeta. With Nihilus lead, Dooku and ST are awesome but again none of the other sith really fit in that well.

There is a Nihilus lead at 6th in my shard but he also has GK and Rex in his squad (plus EP and Dooku). Other than that there are two more DN (both fully Sith without Assassin) and two Maul lead teams in the top 50. That's in total 10% Sith of the top 50 but rather placed outside the top 30. So, yes, it can be competitive. Esp. if you are talking about breaking into the top 100.

However, I think putting the zetas on CLS probably benefits you in more areas of the game than with DN. CLS is great and useful all around. Plus people might pick you in arena simply because they are bored to be fighting the same squad over and over again. I guess to be successful in arena it depends more on how much you drop because on offense one can normally beat most teams of a similar level. Some people might see a Sith team as easy pickings.

It is still a viable arena team depending on your shard, not top tier anymore. You really need SA in there though. Go with EP for now.

Yes his leader zeta helps, by about 50% more healing. :tongue:

The zeta on Dooku is not necessary under DN. It's not BAD, but better placed elsewhere.

I target DN leads as I don't think his lead counters the massive damage high end rebel teams can dish out. And no matter how quick they are, they will never outpace my Han Solo's first shot, or R2, and then tenacity up goes on and the Sith are done.

Do you run GK? With your team he would make it a lot more durable, but I would highly recommend using a zeta on Han, it is an absolute gamechanger

I ran zNihulus lead as my arena team for a long time before CLS. I pretty much floated at 150-200 the entire time. Sometimes dropping to like 245 over night. But my sith were a little sub optimal. No Zavage at the time. Most GL 10. Maybe some at 9.

Once I switched to my CLS team I zoomed into top 50 immediately and usually hang out in the 30s in a shard where the entire top 50 is CLS/Rex/GK/Han/Thrawn type teams.

So based off that exerience I find it unlikey that even an optimized DN lead (sith) team is going to consistently crack top 100 in a shard like mine or better. But I think he can probably hang out in that 100-200 range.

Like others have said it might be best to just prep him for a CLS, R2, GK, DN, ? team. Or run him as lead on a team that isn’t really sith. But I think he would probably be better not as the lead on those teams. In most cases.
