Can i unlock Old Ben in time?

with 2 refreshes a day and your lunch time bonus thats 16 shards a day. and you have 300 shards to go thats about 18 days give or take. if you make it 3 refreshes a day thats 14 days

With 4-5 refills it is possible. You need 150 shards and if the drop rate is at about 33.3% that would mean you would need to do about 450 battles. If you do the 8 energy you would need about 3600 energy to complete 450 battles. Each refresh is 120 energy and with 5 refreshes that would give you 600 energy everyday through refreshes. If you only do 2 refreshes in the daily activities that would give you 90 energy per day. Cantina Energy naturally increases by 1 energy every 12 minuets so that equals out to 5 energy every hour and 120 every day.

This gives you 210 energy everyday for free
Then with 5 refreshes that is 600 Energy every day.
Total of 810 Energy

So, If you need 3600 energy it would take you about 4.44 days to get the shards at a 33.3% drop rate.
If you make the drop rate 25% you would need 4800 energy for 150 shards and it would take you 5.9 days
If you made it a 20% drop rate you would need 6000 energy for 150 shards and it would take you 7.4 days
The Algebra: (Shards needed(150/drop rate(.333)= Battles Needed (450) Then: Battles (450)*Energy used (8)= Total Energy Needed (3600) Then Total Energy Needed (3600)/Energy Per Day (810)= Days to get shards (4.44).

Also remember that the event will last a certain number of days too, thus increasing the amount of time we have to farm

I'm trying to make myself except that I won't be able to accomplish the requirements this time around. I started in November 2016 and never unlocked Old Ben or STH. My Leia is only L60 4* G7. I just 7* R2 today so that ones covered and Luke is 6*. The combination of what I lack and the enormous gear requirements when I already have 25+ toons sitting at G8 is just too much. Not complaining, I chose my path and hopefully next time around (assuming there is a next time) I will be ready.

I really really hope it starts at the end of August/beginning of September.

As annoyed as I was about farming Phoenix for thrawn, I had hope that I could maybe get him to 5* and I buckled down and made it happen.

With this event, if I manage to get R2 done in time, there's still no possibility if it begins the day after R2 ends.

I've never had no hope before ... CG, please start CLS event in September so I can have.......

I don't know why the panic, pay attention....
Old Ben is one of the easiest farms in the game, and I wouldn't expect the event to start next week they have farm boy shards this month so I'm betting it'll be the last 7-10 days of the month.

I realize to some old Ben seems like a slap in the face.... but he's easy to farm, and you probably have 2-4 weeks to do it.

Find someone in Australia or even Europe or whatever time zone is ahead of yours, save for the day blow only 3 for the daily, wait and see if they can tell you about double drops then burn before bed if there aren't.
This will allow you to maximize your farming if they do have double drops, but keep in mind R2, Leia and ST Han cannot be farmed from nodes making that less likely and more likely they will have packs

where are you getting the 2 refreshes in the daily activies from? there is only 1 for cantina energy and its 45. and how did u say he needs 150 shards. he is 30 out of 80 for unlocking him. that is 300 to go.
easier to say this. 1 REFRESH is 15battles or a drop rate avg of 5shards. so you can avg 15 shards a day w only 2 refreshes and an extra 1 or 2 from the lunch energy bonus
