Can i unlock Old Ben in time?

Apparently the update notes had the exact dates before Kozi redacted them. Supposedly it said August 11th and 12th.

Can you gear him up in time, if you do unlock him? 7* is one thing, g11 is another.

Highest number of flashies was 8 (phx)
Ewoks was only 3-4 (check?)
Phoenix flashes overlapped b4 an after
Ewoks started half way into event
Basically we cant predict by flashes

I went from 0 to 7* Old Ben in 3 weeks using 3 cantina refreshes a day and farming the lower energy node. It is possible to do, just depends on the rng you get. It has been hinted by Kozispoon that there will be more information on faster ways to get these toons when the update releases.

Honestly what I did after Thrawn was just keep on the train until Phoenix were all 7*. Their gear levels might need a level or two, but this is achievable within the time of the event itself (so even without notification, I should be fine.) Now I know I'll have a 7* Thrawn, which I can't wait to raid with, as soon as its available. I'd do the same with this event: just farm everyone you need until they're done, regardless of whether you finish in time for the event. This will afford you the advantage of being ready no matter when the event returns. I didn't do this for R2... I'm close, but a week or two of farming and I would've been ready-ouch! When you return to whatever you were farming beforehand, you can do it with the knowledge that you're prepared for the legendary event were it dropped tomorrow.

Once you've played the game for a decent amount of time you'll realize the 2 month farm for phoenix and probably 1-2 months of farming (depending on whether you already have R2) for this event are relatively little. Plus, unlike Phoenix, STHan and Leia are already raid viable and if Old Ben gets a taunt I'd imagine he might join the other old man int he game in phase 3...

Each day you get 165 (120+45) cantina energy = 6.85 shards per day on average.
Each paid refresh = 5 shards on average.
Use these figures to calculate your own timeline and how many paid refreshes you're willing to do.

Honestly, I'm not too worried about Old Ben and Luke (both of which I have at 6*), I'm worried about TFP whom I need for R2. I really hope we get a cantina wide double drop and not one just limited to Old Ben/Luke. I simmed 100 energy earlier and got 1 shard. :s

Look at alternates u could unlock and max magnatrooper faster than upping your tfp, hes one of the hardest farms ive done
