No? That appears to be the normal progression for zeta'ing unique abilities.

It would mean that his max protection increases by 1% every time he's damaged, but his current protection would not (so it isn't a heal). I believe it's a lead into the introduction of protection recovery in regular battles (transferring over from ship battles as targetable bonuses did with Jyn), meaning the more he takes damage the tankier he gets if he is given protection recovery somehow.

Nebit's protection up is based on his own health, not the recipient's max protection, so it doesn't apply to this.I don't run rebels so I haven't bothered to even look at Jyn's kit (not doing more than a couple token fights in this next tournament); if she introduces protection recovery (not protection up) then the "introduction to protection recovery in regular battles" has already happened :)

3 abilities of characters go from level 7 to level 8 with omega, 3 for lead and 5 for non-lead

Abilities beyond the 3 that go to omega will take zeta's to go from level 7 to level 8

Prior to level 80 can only upgrade 3 abilities to level 8. Level 80 and greater abilites beyond those 3 will require zeta's

Strictly speaking, we already have protection regen. It's just in ships, though.

I'd assume it would work like other games where current protection scales up by percentage. Regardless, you'll be healing less than 1% prot each time so it's fairly useless.

I don't know if it was that zeta in action but he just 1 on 5'd the last phase of the bonus round for me. That was very 5's-esque. The storm troopers kept hitting him and no damage was coming off. I actually thought it was a bug for a minute.

Wow. Seems terrible. 1% is not much. It doesn't even seem worth omegas, let alone zetas. Worst of the zetas so far.
