For what it's worth, it's inconsistent with the ability descriptions in the game. It's not just semantics. This game is very specific, and the player base counts on it being specific, and accurate when describing abilities. At the very least, the raid bosses' descriptions should read that the adds are revived, not summoned. That is what is confusing to me, and others. To those of you who would say otherwise, read the abilities for both Deathmark and the boss summoning adds abilities... it's not working as it is stated, though it may be working as they intend for it to.
Deathmark has been plagued by bug fixes. It has been adjusted so many times that I think this post will get moved, because someone might get salty about bringing it up. At one point, you could kill adds in the Rancor and Tank raids (think turrets) and come lay Deathmark on them as soon as they were on screen again. Do a search for Deathmark in these forums and you will find a number of other bug fixes for this ability.
My point is this- ability descriptions should be accurate and work exactly the way they are stated. If it was just semantics, or something we should accept as working that way, then why would we bother believing any abilities work as they are stated? I made the same assumption/mistake as the OP in P2 T5 in the sith raid a few weeks ago, and realized it before I posted a video of it, but posted it anyways to see the reactions of others. I even mentioned it in the description to get a little feedback going. I had a surprising number of comments made about it for someone with very few subscribers. The result was exactly as I expected. A lot of people are confused as to why it works that way, while others know it works that way and just kinda accept it, and still others just offered bad advice. I had gone as far as thinking I lagged and missed the graphics that said the target evaded, and tried an accuracy mod until I asked around =). I've played the game since day one, and had Deathtrooper right away...so it's not so much that I don't understand the game- in fact, I was confused because I didn't realize it had changed at some point and was no longer working as it is stated.
My hope is that a developer reads this and insists that they simply change the text of the summoning adds abilities for bosses in each raid to say "revive' instead of 'summons', as I doubt they will change the way it is working right now. I'll include a link to the video below; I believe this is exactly what happened to the OP.
https://youtu.be/YwAAwBxgWx4 - This is not part of arena and character strategy. Shame on you for moving this from the general chat. This is why these forums are not very popular places to get reliable information. Booooooo @ you moderator. Get more salty lol
- The adds are not revived, according to the text. Though, we will not get this resolved because the moderators here are afraid to let the community read about topics that expose things in the game that don't work correctly, or as stated. I do hear your point, though.
- can't put deathmark on him with all 3 adds alive, even if you killed them before but they got summoned again.
- And you really should save death trooper for P3. Works better against Traya.
- Range1974Seasoned RookieIf you are talking about in the raid, you have to kill one of the side toons, preferably the Sith assassin so she stops feeding TM.

There must be some fundamental difference with how the turrets and the door panel are 'revived' compared to the adds. The turrets have that tm bar while they are down, as does the door panel in the pit, and when those are killed and then come back it still triggers as though someone is dead, whereas when the adds are revived, deathmark doesn't trigger."Obiobi;c-1506121" wrote:

They might as well just say the raid boss revives the adds and these revives can't be prevented, they already crossed that bridge with Zombie lol. That solves all the problems by simply changing the wording to match and not having to change how it actually works.
