Here's another issue I have with the AI's "potency/tenacity" rubbish. I can go up against a team with R2 on it and my EP will get 1-2 stuns, but an R2 controlled by the AI can stun my entire. freakin. team. one at a time based on counters, assists, etc.
While I understand R2 'can' stun, the AI's R2 stuns better than the Emperor of the Galaxy who has such a high potency that, as someone has said, "doesn't matter at that point". Really really irritating that my whole team gets stunned by R2, one by one, but my EP can't stun more than 2 at a time with a mass stun.
I don't think that CG fully comprehends that the AI really wants to win and doesn't have the same limitations as we do.
I don't think you fully comprehend how potency works. Potency only works against high tenacity opponents. If your potency higher than (enemy tenacity —15%) then additional potency does nothing for you. There's always a 15% minimum chance to resist stuns (or other effects that are resistable).
Before the potency/tenacity check the attack first has to hit. Then the attack needs to produce the effect (not all effects have 100% chance of being produced). Only then will the potency/tenacity check be performed to see if the effect is resisted.
If the enemy R2D2 stuns your entire team through counter attacks, then you should be more careful. F.ex. Stun/fracture R2D2. Only attack from stealth. Buff with tenacity up. Only attack R2D2, if your tank is taunting. There are several options.
