GK is not well balanced, you're smoking something.
Reworking a single toon to balance the advantage of a OP duo does nothing but force the entire game community to now use the OP duo and the "balancing" toon. I'm not even sure what you're referring to here.
Rebuttal ineffective.
Boba was the immediate answer to chaze. Now many have learned other ways. They are a solid duo, but this also means to take advantage of this you need to star gear and lvl and mod 2 toons. (Stars may not be as important but they still count). They are not unbeatable, and they are not on every team. (Also not everyone is running boba, so they don't need to be running them or the "balance toon").
GK is a great toon and has nothing about him that makes OP. He has an effective kit, he can fit in many teams. He is difficult to obtain and gear, but people always seem to ignore that when it comes to balance. There is an effort and reward system that is also in place when we talk balance.
Your saltiness does not make my rebuttal ineffective.
As someone that uses GK, I can tell you he is not even close to balanced. Neither is DN, who I also use. GK has everything -- Squad Attack (damage), cleanse, good hp, good prot, good distribution of stats, GOOD AI CONTROL (Very important in arena)
I understand the difficulty in getting him but he is far from the average joe. He is high and above.
But does being better than the average joe means that he's out of ballance?
Like i said, it comes down to what people consider balanced. For one it might mean that every toon should be equal, or have the potential to be equal if used right. For others (me included) it might mean that the character in question is beatable without having to use the same character to do so. The good ol' he has counters argument. I'm totally fine with characters being plain better at every aspect than other toons, i actually want that to be the case.
I actually also like powercreep, it keeps the more prepared/dedicated/paying player ahead of the curve in arena and makes sure you can't keep using the same team for extended periods of time. One could argue that you could achieve the same thing with nerfing, but that comes with a whole new set of potential problems and obviously upset paying customers.
