Why is there an option to retreat then?
I would guess that button was implemented long before TW and GA were released and was intended for Galactic War and perhaps raids.
The teams are AI controlled. I see no reason not to give them this successful defense reward.
Because as stated above, a signal loss or app crash would also result in TM load, when it's no fault of the user (usually).
TM loading is a pretty big penalty to begin with, when you think about it. And in fact, there's strategy involved in deciding when to post a result and when to not post it.
Finally, the devs have never said anything about it. No different than shard chats.
You can split crash from airplane mode and/or retreat. If it was intended to be in game they would have a "fight for no negative consequences" button.
I dont belive its cheating because the game allows it. But it penalizes strong defensive teams because you can "test" as much as you want against them."TVF;c-1955629" wrote:

You lose banners from both the first and second battles if you do this. That seems like enough of a penalty to me.
Only in GA. Not in TW."VonZant;c-1955633" wrote:

It acts the same way and in TW, you definitely can’t test teams in TW lol- If either way hangs an L on you and you lose the squad. I have no issues with that.
I have never done either. Never had the need. I just dominate flat out. "taquillasun;c-1955636" wrote:

I find it very hard to believe you've never lost a battle."TVF;c-1955638" wrote:

You should learn to read more carefully. I never said I never lost. Did I? Will you actually answer that? Doubt it. But now that I wrote that. You might.
But yeah, I'd consider what I've been doing, a very dominating performance. .- Ok then, if you want to play games I'll just wish you good luck in your future TW.

You like to straw man.
When did I say I wanted to play games? What part of what I wrote was "playful"?
But yeah, I didn't think you'd answer because you're really short on being genuine it seems.
Thanks for the luck. I hope to see you in GA some day!"TVF;c-1955637" wrote:
Not true @VonZant . Max banners is 20 first try, 15 second, and 10 third and up.
Didnt know that. Never payed attention in TW.
Truth is entire guilds have played since TW was released and never used airplane mode. And won battles and TW.
Its not cheating because its technically allowed. But its absolutely not necessary, and should be handled differently, IMHO."VonZant;c-1955653" wrote:

Handled differently is a matter of opinion, so I'll just agree to disagree.
Yes you can win TW without airplane mode. But you are potentially hamstringing yourself against the other guild, and you can easily lose a TW solely based on not using airplane mode.
