GLs start the encounter with 10% extra protection for each relic amplifier level.
So what this means for repeat battles like GAC and TW is it looks like they are gaining protection, as the game just reads them as starting with -100% from the damage. So a relic 5 will have 150%, and then less 100% is still 50%.
It's not new and it's WAI.
