I came back after a few months of not playing. I wasn't even competitive when I stopped playing.
Came back, got smart, beat past all the old accounts to the top 500. Gradually have gotten higher and higher. Got lucky cuz I had a good base for a palp team when he was meta, and was able to hit top 60. I just got Revan and I'm in the top 50 (probably till GG comes, but whatever)
Point is, it's possible to get a decent crystal income after some time without starting over. Just takes some time
