got the falcon first time around at five star and up to seven second time....still comes down to coinflip rng no stategy lucky or unlucky boring frustrating piece of garbage! i used to like ships as they were a little more diverse in the skill and strategy involved but not this! same fight goes 2 completely different ways. one u don't lose a single ship and the other u can't kill one......so now arena is mod dependent and ships is luck...yay! wuts the point? cuz it shore aint fun
the whole point of this rant, er i mean thread, is the luck nature of the current meta specifically the falcon. if ur not experiencing that as an issue i'm genuinely happy that ur not on a competitive shard. and like all rng, my complaint is that in the end the strategy is second to getting assists. it doesn't matter if u choose the right order of operations or not, u still will not win unless u get assists. the metas leading up to this trash was interesting(yes ht was in every one but which one hasn't had a tank)...geos, tl, fo, bh....and all the cap ships. was fun cuz u had options.....this, well this is more like work :-( 5* anyship doesn't crack top ten and usually not top twenty unless falcon....haven't seen 5* tooth in forever(too squishy) at this writing i'm at 15...in front of me are all maxed(minus a few plus, zeta, 6emod) with one 6* falcon and one fully tricked out geo....i rarely have to refresh as i haven't been outta top twenty in forever(went to 18 last week! shocking!)...so if ur navigating these and winning more than 75-80 percent, post up some vid cuz i've played hundreds of these battles and feeling good to lose only 1 of 5 but have had stretches of 3 in a row where in the first few turns got one or none on assists
Well there we agree. We have Sith ships, Shuttle and Ebon Hawk that all seem to have had No purpose because Falcon just kinda made them all pointless. I hope we get some New piece that makes them relevant. And with a rumored Red 5 coming that would just buff Rebels more I just really dont want to see it.
The Sith Fleet under Thrawn is actually pretty good against everyone else. Its just useless against Falcon which is kind of all that matters right now.
I posted another thread in General recently about it - we desperately need at least 2 more Cap ships soon. I literally have enough ships for a whole other fleet and can't use them.
My shard has a few "full rebel" fleets with maxed out Bistan's lead. If the RNG is good you can win easy, but if you get some bad luck then its game over. How about instead of coming here to complain, ask for some advice. Remember a little ship called "Tie Silencer". I know it was from a movie people seam to hate, Personally loved it but that is just me.
The thing about this little ship is two fold. The ship sits at a base speed for me of 194 (zKRU, gl12+4 and 5 dot mods), making it faster than both Bistan and the Falcon by enough to go first. He also has a special extra on his basic .... if they have over 50% TM he stuns them.
If you swap out your 3rd for this ship, leaving HT and the Falcon, you can stun his before it moves and eliminate the assist calls to start with. Their Bistan will move next and apply TL to one of your ships making Biggs taunt and normally targets Silencer for the assists. This ship will die early but when that happens Falcon will be hidden and HT can taunt. With no breach, Cassian/Ebon Hawk can cleanse and you target their falcon. Once its down then its a matter of time before you win.
ITF and Poe combo can work too but requires specific speeds on the ship, also takes out 2 starting spots so either no tank or no Falcon. Silencer works better and has minimal impact on your fleet

If enough assists happen and you dont resist some of it especially your fleet lasts 20 seconds. so a maxed biggs is nothing to laugh at. in ohter hmf comps bihhs is just an indicator how strong the fleet overall is. with a maxed biggs it is very likely the other chars are equally leveled. a maxed biggs is likely to survive a hmf onslaught so your chances of loosing will increase
We have three of these fleets in my leaderboard. My fleet is G12+3, no 6E mods except Ackbar who is G12+4 full 6E. I find the RNG to be minimal. When the RNG hits it's right off the bat, as you point out, and you know you're going to lose. I believe VonZant, or whoever said it's 80-90% win rate. I lose a battle or two a week and have to go through one or two of these guys daily. Strategy still trumps RNG even against maxed Bistan/SRP and Biggs.
against a maxed hmf biggs bistan (again, I am talking about a maxed enemy) my winrate is not 90% and my front ships are mostly 12.5 and 6e mods. It is a difference with hmf, bistan ht lineup as well if they are fully maxed or not in my experience.
I win against these fleets nearly 100% of the time if the crew is only g12.3. there are 3 maxed or nearly maxed fleets in my shard where my winrate is not close to 90%
when you guys play against f u l l y m a x e d fleets and your winrate is 90% then congratulation

Thank you for this! I was not aware of this counter. Very helpful. How does it hold on D?

I have never left this team on D overnight. My shard is active and I can fall from 1st to outside the top 50 in a day. Since its normally a single refresh to get beck to first, I have spare battles so can reset my team if needed
if it's not that it is easy pickings(auto every time)...that's if it was lucky enuf to get in the mix in the first place
not sure some understand...all those toons are g12plus with 6dot mods and zetas and all ship abilities...only missing a few here and there....there is only one counter to these fleets! poe tfp doesnt count cuz of how more rng that is

That fleet you posted is the same fleet I run as well as the common fleet in my arena. I beat it on a regular basis and it has very little to do with RNG, its all about the abilities you use. Their speeds in that grouping play less to RNG as their Falcon will hide on the first turn, and without the 2 other Rebel ships will not gain 100% TM. Without the chain assists from Bistan calling Falcon and falcon calling a third the damage is lower.
firstly target their HT with all attacks until yous goes. If you target anyone else then their HT gains TM and can breach any ship instead of your HT. IF your HT goes first then breach Biggs instead of HT so it is harder to cleanse. HT cleanses itself when it uses his basic, so Home ones AoE special calls 2 random allies to assist, meaning a good chance HT will be called and cleanse itself, as well as doing damage. If theirs goes first and breach is active, then call Phantom in and target their HT. This reduces the RI cool down on your capital ship (if maxed) allowing you to bring in another ship next turn. As soon as breach is off your team bring in Cassian's U-wing to clear all their buff's and then use his special to call your Falcon to assist. Even with yours at a lower star rating, you can normally eliminate their Falcon with the assists. Once its down then its easy from there.
I have been climbing to top of fleet since about 2mths after ships launched (was top 100 before then) because of the rare character/ship shards, and now Zeta and Omega's. I understand your frustration at what they have maxed compared to yourself, I face better geared fleets every day. If you look at the kits on all the ships you can see ways to reduce RNG and climb.

I still have no idea what is going on in this thread. I find this combo to be the easiest to beat and least rng dependent.
