GMY ignores the status effects rules

2) lose tm since he acted
3) land back and gain full tm for his bonus turn
4) get countered and lose tm.
At least that's how I understand it. The way it happens though, seems like the aoe causes gmy to not lose tm for 2 turns back to back, which is not something stated in the ability
You've got the order wrong.
It's:
1. Start of turn events (things like Palp's passive damage, DoTs, HoTs, etc.)
2. Character action (attack, heal, etc. - GMY's AoE in this case)
3. Enemy response (Thrawn counters)
4. Triggering of stagger
5. TM set to zero (both due to stagger, and the turn ending)
1. Bonus turn triggers, GMY gets 100% TM.
A bonus turn is just that - the next turn. Thrawn's counter occurs in the first turn and can't affect anything that happens in the next turn.
Edit: They don't happen simultaneously, they just look simultaneous.
I think this is correct. The status icons don't always update in time with the animations. So I think Thrawn's counter technically happens before the bonus tm.
GMY shouldn't be able to assist with Fear. However, I suppose that if the 6% tm gain from Bastila's turn starting pushes him to 100%, Fear would expire before she calls the assist. He would then gain tm from his basic and maybe still get the next turn.
OP really needs a video to figure out what's going on. Preferably on 1x or 2x speed.
