Heroic Rancor P1 oddities??

Question

Ok, so today my guild did their normal Heroic Rancor after 24 hour tagging. Multiple players, including myself, had to restart multiple times  due to the guards one shooting or nearly one shooting one of our toons. These are all high gear Teebo teams that should have no problem wiping this phase. Has something changed?

Doing a zero dmg run messes with the piggies cool Downs (edit also leaving them with turn meter)making the next run harsher quicker. I always preferred skipping the zero phase and waiting for ffa to avoid this

Usually we don't have an issue with the TM messing the run up.Since I wasn't the only one seeing it I'd thought I'd ask.
