To some people yeah. I actually like Treya's story a bit better than Revan's, and Revan's better than any of the movies.

Completely agree. Though Kotor 1 was a better game than Kotor 2 because studio reasons...

For the record, I think Revan is dumb and irrelevant. Until we have the main course that is actual canon characters that all Star Wars fans know and care about, e.g. Jedi Luke, Rebel Chewbacca, etc., then we shouldn’t be focusing on the trivial side dishes.

I don't care about Chewbacca but I care more about the Jedi/Sith from TOR era and others. I am glad we can break away from the main movies because other than some small number of characters not in the game, all the other good characters are already in the game and a lot of the good characters outside the movies aren't

This isn’t a question of whether or not you like the characters from the movies more or less than TOR characters. The issue is one of the player base (and potential player base) recognizing characters. You can’t make an argument that MORE people know who Revan is than Luke Skywalker. Therefore from a developer standpoint, it doesn’t make sense to release lesser known characters over main characters.

I understand the thought process behind saving big characters and releasing them when you need more sales. Which is why I can accept the fact that Jedi Luke is still not here. But we are missing a lot of characters that are central to the main Star Wars movies, and I think that’s dumb. If you need more sales, come up with new, better content or release less relevant characters for the hardcores. But don’t hold our favorite characters hostage for your bottom line.

The movies set the groundwork, but I agree in the books are a lot better.

I have trouble taking a claim that characters who are already in the game two or three times are really "missing." We have three Chewies and two Lukes, so there really shouldn't be a huge rush for more.

The roster is reasonably extensive. Discounting versions of characters, I count four plot important characters who aren't in the game yet and could reasonably be made into units. Padme, Snoke, DJ, and Dryden Vos. And you could maybe argue Hux and whoever the enemy commander was in The Clone Wars.

But are the books about the movies, better then the movies? Read Revenge of the Sith. Great book.
