Overall GP is irrelevant. Your completion of other challenges and events as well. It shows absoloutely nothing. The whole point of this thread is, that this challenge is difficult, while most others are easy, remember? Completing easy challenges doesn't proove your skills.

It obviously doesn't. Figuring out a viable strategy should take far less tries. If you needed 300 tries with that fleet of yours, you should have reconsidered your approach earlier.

Yes, that's a key aspect of the strategy as well. Buff up before using your special attacks. Don't just point and shoot. Agreed.

Your 'novel strategy' is the same strat I've been using for a long time. I ran it maybe 30 times while it was just up. I thought I had it once, coming down to the last ship with just a sliver of health left, and then he crit and took out my ship.

The try before that I managed to kill 2 ships before wiping, the tries after that were, in order, wiped with no ships down. Wiped after taking out Rex, JC(1), and ahsoka. Wiped after taking out Rex.

The variance on this is huge... IMO worse than 7* thrawn.

1. I never claimed it was a novel strategy. I claimed it was the one I used, and that I saw how I gradually came closer and closer to completing the event as I upgraded my ships (those "weak sauce" ships as someone else worded it) and developed my strategy. The 'novel strategy' is YOUR words — not mine. YOU, sir, are full of it.
2. The variance may be huge, but if you gradually come closer and closer to the goal, it's not coincidence.
