I ran 4*HT with 5* G11 Bossk and jumped from about 100 in ship arena to about 50-60. He can take sustained damage all day, but it's susceptible to burst at those levels.

I don’t think it is wise to use multiple taunts with HT. They are much easier to beat, because you can just ignore HT and target the other tank. And then there isn’t enough offense to win the match quickly before Thrawns ultimate wipes out HT. Just my opinion.

Sorry edit button on phonenot working. One last thing. Hound will drop taunt just before Thrawns ultimate. Apply taunt to plo and ultimate takes plo not hound. There is 0 reason to ever lose hound vs thrawn.

I'm thinking Ghost + HT reinforce. Ghost reduces potency by 25%. HT reinforce gives Allies +25% tenacity. Ghost applies speed down on a resist.

I already run Ghost Vader Biggs -> Phantom, Cassian. Just insert HT after Phantom. How viable is HT at 3*? My Bossk is G11.

Geos with hound as reinforcement is at end game an actual kitten, I haven’t found a way around that at almost 400k ship power :/

Just a warning before you gear hounds tooth, don’t believe the hype about it being viable at <7*. I regularly 2-shot the occasional 4* HT (w/ g11 Bossk) with Vader/tfp under chimaera. Even the 6* that occasionally pops up isn’t really a match as the 100k crits will pierce through his prot up pretty easily. He’ll die well before chimaera’s ultimate. Dual tanks do way too little damage to kill off Biggs, so unless you’re bringing in someone to debuff you’ll drop like a rock on defense. That said, HT is made to counter geos, so if you see a lot of those in your shard, maybe he’s worth while at lower stars. For reference, my shard has around 380k average fleet, 80% Biggs tfp Vader meta (under either thrawn or tarkin) with some minor variations and a few others (like the geos that get slapped down super fast).

There is one geo fleet with tarkin in mine that’s maxed (g12+5) with a ht that’s also g12+3 always comes in at first reinforcement (his in game name is ndot in the Angzc Ataru guild) he other less than 7* ht are an easy win, the 7* just won’t die (as a reinforcement) when it was a starting ship, I could use thrawn with vader/fotf/itf and blitz it, that worked fine, now, not a chance...

So it sounds like many people think the “old” meta is better than geos and houndstooth isn’t necessarily worth it. I struggle to beat geos with my more or less maxed Biggs + tie squad (all g12). What’s the optimal setup that will help with geos?
