You don't need 7* (I'm on 4* B1 and droideka). Running zzGG, zzBB8, zB1, zB2, zDroideka.I can actually hit for 87k sometimes (with ID). Without ID I saw hits for 65k easily. Yes it was at the end of the battle. Yeah it took time to learn it. Slow droideka with offense mods, GG after B2, always kill Yoda regardless of Jolees revive. I win even with Marked on B1. The only time I loose if B2 wont put any buff immunity or his cooldowns won't be reduced (doesn't happen often)So...not so bad after all. On offense CLS will still kill you. Actually I won on defense also, cause someone after my PO was hitting me, and lost. With Revan of course. He won but had to switch chars for that - I know that's because noone has practice with GG yet, but still, it CAN hold on defense vs Revan..somehow.

You know, plenty of people complain that GG requires so much investment to beat other teams, but doesn't that just mean there's a whole lot less power creep than previous teams? Which is something else people complain about

Congrats man. The team is definitely viable. I think the real problem is the investment (I've done both revan and grievous... grievous is way harder, revan is heaps better).Some of us vets spent 4950 character shards just to 7* grievous back in the day (before he was put into fleet shipments, that was the only way to do it). That's equivalent to fifteen 7* characters fyi. We then had to wait 2.5 years for grievous to be useable for pretty much any game mode. Then this team requires heavy gear, zetas, and 2 marquee characters that are super important to make the team really work. Hopefully you guys can see why a. it was hyped and b. Why people are a bit upset that it didn't shake up the (very boring) meta that exists right now. I really hope carrie stays true to her words on reddit and considers the points nottagoon raised on his Reddit post. --Nottagoon:'Two things I would love for you to consider.Tweak this team to make it worth the investment. Yeah I have said from the day GG was released that the problem with the rework is not GG. Its Revan. The rework just highlighted how OP Revan was.

Literally the only ability they can make right now that is more powerful than Revans is: "On your first turn, pick an enemy that will instantly die."

Hes just really really broken.

I share the same experience of dropping into the 30’s overnight... but climbing back up is pretty easy.

I’ve always been an “anti-meta” kind of guy in arena... so having another team to crush the current Revan plague is pretty enjoyable :)

I feel for you that you cannot compete in arena with your maxed scoundrel team. Obviously that is a faction you really enjoy to play... but then imagine if the farm requirement for Qi'Ra was 4950 flushed character shards.

What i was trying to emphasise in my first post is, the investment into this team is much higher than most teams (i'd actually argue, more than any other team in this game) but it does not give enough return for that investment.

It's not just the gear and zetas and Marquee's. It's also the fact that grievous was the hardest character to farm in this game (pre-fleet shipments). I personally farmed him from march 2016 to october 2016 almost exclusively. My roster was pretty much put on hold for those 6-7 months to get him to 7* (yes it was boring, but he's my favourite starwars character so i was determined).

Personally I think difficulty to obtain should correlate directly with character power.

Now this rework is actually pretty good, and the Sep droid team as a whole is decent, but in my opinion it does not do justice to the effort and resources spent on this team. In my opinion, this team should be meta defining.

I'd like to suggest the following tweaks which would make this team much more competitive (bottom two have already been mentioned):

1. General Grievous Metalloid Monstrosity - Add a line which reads 'Additionally if General Grievous is marked when he falls below 100% health he moves this mark from himself to the healthiest droid'
2. B1 does not lose stacks to % based damage (traya's leader, grievous etc)
3. B2 Mow Down cannot be countered.

As an update after week of playing.

This is VERY NOT fun team to play. It can not win against any other of current teams except Revan.

I've got my B1 marked most of the time today - 4 losses, and I can only watch as they all die.

So yes you can beat Revan, but when not you can only watch as RNG screw you over and over again.

I do not recommend it for now - not sure if those stars on b1 and droideka would change anything.

EDIT: Also, in past days I've never experienced so many losses as today, after the update. Was GG too strong ?:P

@Sarbitar I’ve found the opposite after using them for about 2 weeks now.... since I put the zeta on B2 and adjusted some mods (like putting massive damage on Droideka and dropping his speed) I’ve found them performing singnificantly better...

Like 9/10 fights are wins...

Which is probably the best vs. Revan I’ve found... especially considering how fast and brutal the wins usually are...

Taking #1 back is easy with the climb (usually fall into the 30’s or so overnight)

Even with B1 marked or grievous dying early (usually due to bad rng and Mark/ focus fire) they can still typically pull out the win...

I’ve even had people in shard chat comment on getting beaten by the droids when attacking them with Revan (like +150 speed Revans) which honestly was surprising to me ;)

Sure they are awful vs. ANYTHING else... but the arena is so Revan saturated now that it makes for easy pickings :)

Anything that allows him to move more often if things start going south would be useful in some scenarios for sure...

Regardless it’s probably the last zeta I’d put on this team...

I can tell you that he cannot be saved. He is put to 1%, equalizes with L3, then takes his bonus turn and dies. As soon as he is put to 1% he is going to die regardless of if he gets healed or not.
