Bastila does special damage so I prefer to run her with an offense set with high speed secondaries. Special damage has a low crit chance, so you're often better off trying to max base damage. I haven't actually done the math for Bastila, though. Seems to work for me. Plus, her base speed is pretty low to begin with, so a speed set doesn't give a lot.
GMY needs very little speed with a JKR lead - if I bother to re-mod him when I run him under JKR, his offense is about 7100, and his speed is 225, mostly just incidentally - my GMY is G13, you'll have a hard time getting over 7000 at lower than that. Aim for 6600.
