I’ve been playing for a week ish and have decided it might be best to delete my account and start again to buy the hyperdrive bundle as early as possible, that way I can maximise shards etc if anyone could suggest whether or not it’s a good idea I’d appreciate :) and if I do delete my account, will I be able to use the same email again?

I mean, you've already done it, but yes, it could be a good Idea.
I also restarted due to not knowing what I was doing and spending resources on squads that weren't good.
Best to stick to 1 or 2 teams (1 light and 1 darkside), else you will run into a lack of upgrade stuff and such.
I’ve got the bundle now, been playing around with characters I just don’t understand enough to pick teams properly yet, I haven’t done many character upgrades at all as yeah I am scared about running out of resources.
if you havent hit lvl 60 yet Then I don't think it matters. as fleet areana is the only areana that matters anymore. and you won't get assigned a shard until lvl 60.
If you are past that point it may be benifitial to delete and restart.
I was at level 43. I’ve been able to delete and start a new one this morning I’ve done absolutely nothing on it yet though. Just need to work out if it’s worth buying the bundle immediately. I appreciate the response.
Its hard to say Given so much has changed recently It only takes 4 weeks to hit lvl 85 not if your playing pretty consitently I recomend going on youtube You generally don't want to pop it at lvl 1 I believe nooch 2gud on youtube has some guides that work well in

Ironically given it was 2 months ago it's actually out of date with the recent changes but at least it should give you an idea. Hyper drive bundle doesnt feel like great value anymore given How outdated it is.
Now if your going to get the ls bundles then it makes sense since you get your self to lvl 85 in time to purchase the others.
If I recall I deleted my account and used the same email, I did it on may 4th and bought Lightspeed bundles as well.
