My main arena team:5* lvl76 Gr9 EP (L), 5* Gr10 lvl76 Vader , 7* Gr10 lvl76 Kylo, 7* Gr9 lvl76 Sidious (Recently replaced Sid with Cpt. Phasma) 7* Gr9 lvl76 Old DakaSTUN! STUN! STUN! With some DOTs sprinkled in for some flavor. This team of mines stuns the hell out of the opposing team, Barely letting them take a turn. My MOD priority stats are health, speed & potency.This team is serving me well so far. I went from being ranked in the 1000s to the 450-500s and currently ranked 306 and hovering in that range. I'm only level 76 and nowhere near ready to even farm zetas. I think that's decent progress and I don't even have any zetas yet, YET!!! I just omega my first ability on my sidious so I'm not at the optimal level that I'm aiming for. Lately, the meta is Zmaul, Zader, Zavage and high speed Rebel wedge teams so just maybe this will shake the meta a little bit. I do not see teams like mines lately. All I see is the usual meta copy cat teams i.e wedge/Biggs, Zader, Zmaul and Zavage. That's the meta and I figured I would go a different route. You won't get much further with that team. Any setup with a dispeller and/or tenacity up buff would destroy you. Also, a fast dps teams would wipe you before you move. The meta, is the most effective tactic available. That team is most certainly, not the most effective tactic available, and actually is far from it because I don't think you could break top 100 with that team. Shaking up the meta would be introducing a team to the top of a shard at end game, and it performing well against the current meta teams. That team wouldn't stand a chance.

I hear what you're saying and I understand that. I'm ranked 287 currently and climbing. The way you are talking, little ole me and my stun team should not be anywhere near where I am currently. Only time will tell! I'm hoping I can prove you wrong. Although, despite what you are saying I am making progress and when I am in the top 100 I'll see what you say then. At the moment, I am focusing on getting my Jedi team to 7*s so can unlock my 7* yoda. Once that's over my credits and other resources will be going into my main arena team. GAME ON!

I don't feel like there's a whole lot of cleansers/tenacity uppers in that area so although it'll never be meta, it could certainly work out for what he or she wants

It's not a bad concept but without tons of speed on all your characters I don't see it going much past top 100, main reason is you'll be targeted heavily on defense because it's a different team, every wiggs out there will 1 shot your palp on the very first move if you aren't fast enough. If you could take maybe sid out and add a pretaunt it would do better even rg imo would be better since you are planning your strategy around stuns.

I like that! I thought about that with Sid which is why I swapped him out with Cpt. phasma. Phasma has great synergy with kylo and she benefits from potency from palpatine. The taunting idea is solid and speed is crucial I try to put speed where ever I can

i'm 26th in my arena shard that is full of Wiggs, Lando, SThan and boba/EP, never fall below 40th and the team i hate facing the most has both SThan and RG, are you sure you have your gear levels correct? you should be much higher in my experience with that set up although with daka you'll probably never break top 50

Stars don't matter, so much as gear and speed does. DN + Dooku is deadly. DN doesn't even need stars to be very powerful, dooku does, and he has him 7*.

I've always been one to say run who you like and not chase the meta, luckily for me maul has always been one of my favorites along with Vader and ep. The sith getting a rework and mauls zeta was awesome for me cuz I can run my favorites and be competitive. So I say find a team that works for you and can achieve your goals and maybe you'll get lucky with a rework and zeta that will put you on tip lol.

I've only been as high as 287 or so. I'm in an old shard. The top guys and gals up there have their teams decked out. I won't be in the top 50 no time soon but I would love to see top 100.

I agree with in playing with who you like. I only play with characters that I like and thing they are bad ass in my opinion. Old daka may be holding me back in some people's opinions but I like her a lot and don't see myself putting her by the way side no time soon. Everything is onhold until after the yoda event.

Well, if your farming Aayla for Yoda, she would be a good addition to your team, as she's actually pretty stunning. ;)

A more advanced stun team might be Krennic, DeathTrooper, Zeb, RG, EP. Might break top 100, but probably wouldn't get to far. There are a couple variations on that, but none are super good honestly.

zNihilus SA Dooku EP ST/GK is also another example of very good high end stun team. You have some very fast starters in SA and Dooku. SA, Dooku and EP all have stuns. EP and Dooku synergize particularly well with each other.

Dooku can open with a chance to stun/shock and EP's AOE has a 100% chance to do a 2 turn stun on the shocked character (subject to resist/deflection). Provided he isn't heal blocked or dazed, Dooku is an absolute annoyance. He will keep himself topped off on health steal and drop stuns and ability blocks like nobody's business.

GK or ST is situational. Generally if you are fast enough for SA or Dooku to move first, ST is a great option. He is almost unkillable under zNihilus. GK will protect your team much more reactively through crit immunity and a generally faster taunt. He also cleanses which is great to remove annoying debuffs like daze and shock which can really screw your team up. His main weakness is that he is vulnerable to sith such as maul and dooku.

Going slightly off topic, I've found that dropping either EP or Dooku to run both GK and ST works extremely well against both rex and zaul teams due to the removal of crits.

Phasma (L), Daka, Dooku, RG, and Aayla is the best stun team. Try using it.
