Jawa engineer in Grievous team?

There are some of us, that use GG reliably. I myself have 4*b1 and 4*droideka - with GG, droideka, b1,b2 bb8 I can beat any JKR with 75% reliability.

For DR I use GG, R2, BB8, T3-M4, and c-3po - that's almost 100% win.

I'm usually first on arena - depends if I have time to climb.

tried it today against a meta-moded darth reva team (revan/bastila/hk/thrawn/sith trooper)
3 fights, one i won. depending very, if the general crits or not.
i still need the two gear12+ pieces, so i have some „space“ to grow.

tried it with hk-lead/grievous/t3/bb8/ig88
with my best mods

definitively a possible dark revan counter and
the fights will not end in a time-out... ;-)

Wow @Sarbitar I love that. Thanks for sharing. Grievous was biting the edge near the end with that deathmark!

@Tbirds01 yeah he got hit for 120k :). He dies sometimes, but that doesn't matter much, cause the other team is so crippled, that the rest of the droids manage to finish them off. I've lost only once so far, though I don't know why. Maybe I was playing too fast.

I don't like my b1 so slow, so I got him like +121 speed. I don't use magna, droideka is needed cause of additional firepower.

I also do not like slow bb8, cause that illuminated destiny is helpful once in a while, and with slow bb8 I never managed to fire it.

General guidelines I follow.

Put shield the first time with droideka, so she can assist.
If b2 mowdown is on cooldown-use basic on a toon with foresight. That way he can get 100tm.
Do not ALWAYS use mowdown with b2. Sometimes it's better to save it, if enemy is buffed immune in case of some cleanse.
Always try to target toon with foresight, so b1 can cleanse this foresight.

And remember, that once you get to the top its easier to stay there, cause less people are attacking you. If you stay near 100, you'll fall further. Sometimes it's better to spend 400 crystals to get to the top. But for that you need to kill jkrs reliably.

Ok, thanks. I'm trying to gear up my droids. Since my IG88 is over leveled, should I use him? If so, who should he replace. I'll do the grievous zeta though.

It depends what teams you are facing on a daily basis...

88 is awesome for softening up the other team if you are fighting Darth Revan teams (which basically comes down to who can kill the other first)

For those DR teams it’s best to not use GG as your leader... the deathmark will take him out of the battle quickly most likely and you need him to be the last droid standing to have a chance to win...

That’s the HK (L), GG, BB8, T3, 88 team

It’s pretty fun when you kill the entire other team with a single AOE after he’s all cranked up and doing massive damage... I’ve seen him hit his AOE for as high as 135k... although it’s typically in the 60-90k range...

Soften them up with first turn advantage due to BB8’s speed boost... then GG moves again and again (with his unique zeta’d) when the other droids die... and BAM!!! The other team is destroyed in a single turn...





It’s super fast and brutal and I typically just auto DR teams to climb ranks...

Vs most other teams... JKR in particular... you want GG(L), Droideka, B1, B2 & BB8. It’s a very strong team and can still beat those DR squads pretty easily (although not as efficiently). Once they are at full strength they are a force to be reckoned with ;)

It takes a buttload of zetas and gear to make them really come into their own and they are a huge investment of resources for a somewhat niche team....

But I’ve been having great success with them... I can take #1 in arena quite easily... plus they are super fun to play :)

I’m the only one in the top 50 on my shard that is using droids currently (I always like to be the black sheep of the arena) but I know people struggle to beat my teams at times from conversations I’ve had with people in my shard chat.

If you are going to work on them you have to be willing to go all out and focus on them almost exclusively... and I can’t even promise that they will still be viable by the time you max them out since who knows what new characters might be introduced that could make them obsolete :(

But for now... they are super fun and pretty awesome!

I Run GG in Arena everyone is maxed gear and zetaed with good spd except B1 and droideka at 3* g11. I have tried a variety of combos and sadly nothing works. I'm sure once I get B1 and droideka up to 7* things will be alot easier. I'm top 100 and best I have been has been rank 28 with GG. That being said JE is to squishy and will immediately die from Yoda or a mass assist. Even with good spd mods and modding him for sustainability he really can only get to 50k health and protection combined. Yoda hits from 40k-70k on basic. With bb8 can live a little longer and draw that extra taunt when GG is marked. So I would say BB8 is just a little more reliable.
