Is he worth farming shards for in the cantina? Borrowed a friends one a few times and seems to pack a hard punch.

I wish with upgrading to 6 stars he turned into the rebel Luke. I told myself maybe he would become rebel Luke when maxed and had a sad when I got on here to see he doesn't.... Do any other characters have multiple characters of them in the game? I imagine eventually you will be able to get saber Luke which means potentially using 2 lukes?
