Nerf Phoenix Squads

Phoenix are great in the very earliest part of the game for ftp, up until you reach about lvl 60, actually

You're probably right. I'd say they are one of the most convenient synergy teams to build early, and are a stepping stone to get other characters. That's why they're run a lot. Because people who have been playing for like 2 weeks have them.

They're easy to beat, not sure what there is to nerf.

Don't worry, they go away pretty quickly. Phoenix Squad is a good team, useful for nearly everything in the game--but they're not even close to the best team for anything (other than getting Thrawn, for which they're the only team).

They aren't hard to beat. As long as you have 5 rebels, get palp at first chance (the event is about every 2 months). Put palp with vader and 3 emp toons. I suggest tarkin, tfp, and storm or rg as a start. Vader feeds off rebels so this team woukd easily crush pheonix. Then the arena full of Pheonix works in your advantage. Then eventually replace tarkin with thrawn. And storm/rg with sion. And tfp with nihilas for an end game arena squad. No nerf required. Also farm mods and mod them for speed.

It's Emperor Palpatine event now, there's going to be a lot of them and they'll be real happy to see an Arena full of Penix teams.

Phoenix will help you BREEZE through GW in the early levels (I'm level 63 and have always been able to finish all 12 stages). Also, they're an amazing team on defense in the early game, often leading to timeouts. They also help you breeze through palpatine, and you need a tough phoenix squad for thrawn. ALSO, Kanan and Ezra double up as jedi so you can use them for the defense mod challenges and the GMY event. IN ADDITION, you can get a very tough Ghost and Phantom 2 in fleet arena with a 7* G8 phoenix. Once you unlock palpatine and thrawn, then you won't be seeing many phoenix squads surviving in the arena however.

Good to know. This must be a really new shard as someone said. Because 27 of the top 50 Arena Squads are Phoenix. I'm only level 55 myself.

Keep investing into Pheonix, they arent the best but they are solid. Back when they were released everyone called them trash. But over time have built a reputation outside of arena, and not just for getting thrawn but galactic war, territory battles and raids
