Nerf Phoenix Squads

I am beyond sick of seeing 80% of Squad Arena groups being a Phoenix group. With so many characters and possible squad combinations it shows just how broken it is.
  • Demanding nerfs against teams you're having problems with is rather counter to the spirit of the game.

And pretty weak. Grow, develop and learn to beat any and all teams you come across. That's the point.

In a few months @Cmgutie, you'll be embarassed that you ever throught Phoenix was a tough squad to face...because they're not. At all.
  • Only one person on my shard runs Phoenix in the......Top 100! And he’s way way ahead of the rest of us - full gold rings and full Zetas. Most people in the top 50 have 3 Zetas and 2 to 3 gold rings.
So even a maxed out Phoenix squad wouldn’t cut it!
The only unusual non-meta top 50 teams I’ve seen are a guy that runs BHs and another that runs zVeers Imperial Troopers. They hover around 20-30th.

Phoenix is way too OP for a f2p team...

Gotta stop you right there...

  • Phoenix can still compete end game but only if they've focused solely on them, use Sabine and max out all their zeta abilities. But that never happens and shortly you'll be back saying "NERF EMPIRE/SITH!"

I completely agree with this guy, Phoenix is way too OP for a f2p team, they basically never die and Ezra does a ton of dmg, he's the highest dmg Jedi in the game, Chopper always heals and Zeb just permastuns people.

And while you're at it, give the Sith some love, Palpatine and Vader are basically useless characters which is ridiculous considering no one has ever heard of Phoenix unless they watch a kids cartoon, also Sion and Darth Nihilus could use a small buff, it's too easy to kill them, specially under a Traya lead.

I can't tell if this is a joke post or not. Pheonix can't cut it on any serious shard. And on most serious shards Palp lead is usually 75% of the leads. Zader is a monster in this game and Sion/DN are 2 of the best characters in the game?
  • Any imp team with vader in it can easily beat pheonix. I personally like ep lead better than vader lead. Feeds you more tm.

This has to be a joke, right? Pheonix aren't good in arena. Even in early shards, I'd have to think Wiggs still crushes it.

Wedge who isnt f2p til level 60 (fleet store) and isnt properly farmable til level 69. You can have a full 7 star phoenix team by the time you unlock wedge.

Anyway op phoenix are an easy team to get together but they arent patricularly amazing. They do the job by having synergy and working together well which ia the most important factor in building a team especially early on before legendary characters are available to you.

The guys with the best phoenix teams will probably switch to thrawn and palpatine after their events runwhich will give them an easy dominance over phoenix.

Good to know. This must be a really new shard as someone said. Because 27 of the top 50 Arena Squads are Phoenix. I'm only level 55 myself.

In my arena top 50, Phoenix were dominant for the first month, numerous the second month, and gone after the 3rd month. They are probably the most useful starting team, but they’re difficult to gear to the point where they stay relevant as legendary characters are unlocked. My arena has transitioned from Phoenix and Sith (for early spenders) to Wiggs (Wedge & Biggs), Phoenix, and Sith; to Empire and Wiggs; to Empire and “Nightmare” Sith (Palpatine-led Nihilus & Sion); to Nightmare, Commander Luke, and Rey Jedi Training.
  • Posts like this is why I'm always skeptical of the "nerf this" posts. It seems like someone will always think the answer to not being able to beat something is that it needs nerfed.
