Newbie - need help

Rex, lando, DN and Boba are all characters that will work later stages of the game.

JC is good for ships when you open that up. Other than that, he's not someone who you will use after level 70 except for ships. Luke and Lumi don't really have any pratctical uses in the game.

Start farming Wedge and Biggs as soon as you can do you can unlock EP. ackbar will help with that too.

Thanks all for the advice. Greatly appreciated! So it seems Ackbar is only useful for the emperor's demise event. Why is this event so important? What do you get out of that?

I've seen a lot of people recommend Wedge and Biggs....they seem so boring to me compared to some of the other chars like Darth Nihilus, Kylo Ren etc. Also Dooku seems to hit my team multiple times per turn and always counters...should I not use him? I also get a lot of damage with Lando, but you don't recommend him? I was also up against a full phoenix team...incredible synergies...not sure how to beat them ever...

Since you mentioned a taunter, I also still have a royal guard somewhere with 4 stars...I'll probably use him. Can I also use Old Daka as a healer? I have her too already.

Hopefully I'll have enough training droids and credits to activate so many new characters.

Focus on a set of characters with a goal in mind. A team of rebels for the Emperor palpatine event is something good to work towards.

I understand now that based on everyone's feedback, I should first create a rebel team.
Since it still take ages before I can start farming Wedge and based on what I have right now, my team would consist in the interim of the following:

Ackbar(5*) - lead (?)
Lando(4*) - attacker
Luke (4*) - attacker
Biggs(2*) - support (?)
Stormtrooper Han - taunter. Don't have this character yet.

I should get them at least all to 5 stars and max the mods out of them for the event to get Emperor Palpatine...hopefully I still have enough time to do that..

In the long run though...I should go for this team which is going to be a lot more fun than the previously described overused bread and butter rebel team :)

Rex - lead
Boba Fett
Royal Guard - taunter
Chirrut - healer (ideally) or otherwise Barris
Emperor Palpatine

Some questions:
- can I only farm Chirrut by paying with crystals in shipments? If so, that's going to be a bit expensive and long process.
- is EP farmable after the event or do you constantly have to wait for the next event to get some more shards?
- why is Royal Guard such a badarse? he only seems to stun...

They suggested the following:
Rex · GK · Chirrut · Baze · Darth Nihilus. This combo seems to be the most used rank 1 squad.
Is Darth Nihilus not a better character than EP?

Chirrut is available for ship tokens in the fleet shipments. Unlocks with ships at level 60.

I noticed this combo Rex · Kylo Ren · Boba Fett · Chirrut · Baze

If I substitute for now RG for Baze and Kylo Ren for Darth Nihilus, could that work as in
Rex(L), Darth Nihilus, Boba Fett, Chirrut and RG?

Boba, Jyn, Rex, Wedge, Biggs, Chirrut, Baze, Shoretrooper, RG, Vader, Maul, Kylo, Phasma, FOTP, and maybe STH. For ships, continue to farm the Consular, Ahsoka, all possible Geo's, Maul, Wedge, Biggs, Fives, and Boba. Really look into Zeta's, they're what to a point make or break your teams in the future.

Thanks for the tip...though it may still take I don't know a year or so before I get to doing Zetas or so :) Still at level 57. lol
