Nute Gunray is underrated

He's weak on his own, very true. And yes grenade toss, like thermal detonators, are pretty much a waste of a turn, but... Nute is probably one of the best leaders in the game. The +25% turn-meter on crit applies to all, not just stealthies.

So, with a high base crit synergy/multi-hitting/assist-calling team, you tend to pull a LOT of extra turns. It even stacks with GS's unique, so he pulls 55% turn-meter on crit when Nute is leader.

Nute's lead is amazing, especially with someone like Leia. The problem is he's not viable on defense (to be fair, no one is really "viable" on defense). If he didn't always use that craptastic bomb throw on the first move, he'd be meta with the right ppl imo.

You sure about the turn meter? Pretty sure its only for stealthed allies.

Don't they take like 3 turns to explode?

I've been working on him. I have him at lvl 58 6* gear V right now. Although the way I read his leader ability was that it only applied to stealthed allies. Can anyone confirm that the turn meter gain does apply to non stealth allies also? If out does I don't think it is supposed to be that way. It is probably just another of the many many coding errors bc this game was released without beta testing. We are the beta testers, and paying one at that (so wrong).

Yeah in arena he is real bad. He throws his useless Granade first turn and since her only has like 9000 life he gets killed by one character on other team and it's 5 vs 4 already...you lose. He has to stealth turn 1 to live. That is why his speed is so high I think.

They fixed Royal Guard, I have hope for Nute.

The thing is I don't think the ai attacks Nute first, I started running him in my arena squad and my rankings don't fall as much with him.
But yes fix the Thermal Detonator on all three that use them.

My largest concern is that by the time his bomb goes off there are fewer enemies still alive on the enemy squad and it therefore does less damage then if it was just a normal aoe.
