To this day there are still a lot of players without a decent Imperial Trooper team, they are considered a luxury team. Except IPD, the other characters are very popular ones, it’s an easy team to gather, dreams of easy TW victories thanks to a Padme wall just got shattered. Which is something I can appreciate, she seems way overpowered for a legendary type character, way more than a Chewbacca, a C3PO for instance.

Look, I didn't read any of this. But she's not meant to be an arena meta team, so why do we care that EP can beat her? On offense, she beats everything but DR/Malak. Is this not good enough? We've only had DR meta for a month, why do we want a new one already?

She beats DR/Malak on offense. I used a g8 Padme lead to take down a 7* Malak team yesterday.

For once, we got transparency. They openly admitted they want Padme to sit at the same level as JKR and DR without Malak. Isn't that right where she should be? And how does this change that? How do we know this one video from someone who has gotten plenty wrong before can even be trusted?

Because this time CG insisted that they brought in more testers to try to assure that there wouldn't be "cheese". That obviously didn't work - and what makes it worse is that it was the same "cheese" that worked against DR. How was that not tested? They already knew that was a weakness.

Honestly, it doesn't make much difference to me. I was just making conversation. ;)

No, they didn't do that for that reason. They brought in more testers to make sure it didn't break anything. They never said they didn't want EP teams to beat it on offense.
