Nute + R2D2 does look like a nice combo. Working on gearing R2D2 now, and grabbing Nute shards (60/80 currently).
Instead of Chewie as a meat Shield, have you considered UG? I run UG in a OldBen+TFP team for phase3 (TFP gains 70% on attacks if all debuffed, then gains 30% tm on dodges). UG is typically the last to die despite being only g9...
If you stealth all but UG, he will dodge attacks, and gain TM for AOE stuns....
Issue for me in phase 3 is the BIG cannon, I need a good way to buff my squad prior to the cannon firing. I always lose toons when it fires.
