Potency vs Tenacity ... confused

Ewok Elder's Tenacity = 75.24%
Palpatine's Potency =33%

Yet, he stuns my ewok twice back to back.

Isn't higher tenacity supposed to protect from lower potency?

Ewok squad, vs palp squad. . . . no rebels to boost Palp's leader ability.
  • Palpetine stun actually has nothing to do with tenacity or potency. In the description I think it says there’s an 80% chance to stun, so it’s RNG based above anything else
  • Chance to resist = Tenacity - Potency (to a minimum of 15%)

So yes higher Tenacity can resist better but your current level is only 42% chance to resist.
And note that even if your Tenacity was 15%, it'd still be a minimum of 15% Chance to resist so it's pretty pointless to stack Tenacity in your scenario.

Wrong. Some abilities have a certain percantage chance to produce an effect (f.ex. 80% chance to produce a stun effect). If the effect is produced it will have to go through the tenacit / potency check to see if the effect is resisted or not.

All those negative effects go through that potency / tenacity check unless the effect cannot be resisted — in which case it will be stated in the ability description.
  • Bah! I hate that if I go back and edit my first comment for typos, I risk having it automaticaly removed because it was edit.
  • Tenacity - potency = chance to resist not including 15% built in chance to resist.
