Not true at all. Ht already has ships that counter it. If you incorporate them into your fleet, you can do fine.
To name a few. Vader, tf, fives, asoka. They can all dispel the protection up ht gets and then the next attack does damage. Tf even puts buff immunity on it to stop the protection gain for awhile.
So just because you haven't figured out how to beat it doesn't mean it can't be done. I beat ht teams in my shard all the time to take first. It can be done without ht, though I use ht because it does hold a little better on defense than biggs. And I'm not a whale. 100% ftp.
Reaper is another counter (as a reinforcement). Defense down plus buff wipe does wonders.
Oh, also Geos, especially under Ackbar. Assists wreck HT.

Hound's Tooth is not as impossible to take down as people are suggesting. You just have to hit it for more damage than it gains in protection up. This can be with assists, single hits, AoEs... doesn't matter. The faster you can do it the better.
Buff wipes and buff immunity are not required to beat him.
Geos with all their assists should be able to whittle him down nicely.
Buff wipes and buff immunity sure helps though. After you wipe buffs or put buff immunity on with tf, you can often one shot it from there. More effective than the whittle down aporoach in my opinion.
Oh absolutely. I just see people posting as though you couldn't take Hound's Tooth out without them, and that's just not true.
Turn meter is everything... if HT is not stunned those debuffs are worthless if he is not at 0% TM...
The problem is not the HT per se its the fact your stuck behind him and need a certain comp to beat him which involves glass cannons... So your getting wrecked while trying to set up a way to kill HT...
XB reinforce... Defense down makes your team OHKOable and he double attacks, he puts retriburtion on the tooth which does not hit hard but now you have defense down so it does and he just breached a 2nd ship so you have no offense... can't kill HT without offense...XB hits so **** hard once it goes your losing a ship you CANNOT win a battle of attrition against that fleet... so even with a solid team with AI boosts, Tenacity resists and cleansing....on a good RNG run you might be winning 1 out of 5. Currently i have beaten the maxxed everything whale in my shard once out of 90+ battles.... ONCE...
not fun one in 90 is pretty rough, few thousand crystals and 3 hours of refreshes to get one win....ewwww... I'll just take top 10 and run :)
Is what it is...but 2.0 sucks.... you can literally know if you win or lose within 10 SECONDS... not fun
they need to tweak something...I don't know what but it needs to be tweaked...not the hounds tooth but 2.0
Not really a problem with my comp. My tf and vader are faster than enemy hts. They put tl on the two others (some rng req) or at least one. Then they get taunt. Then I get taunt. Then there's a few turns before I get a reinforcement depending on cap ship speeds. But then I call in fives for an aoe that goes around the taunt. Then it's only like another turn or two before their ht is dead. My attackers are faster than enemy hts so after I clear buffs I get a couple of attacks in before they cleanse and that is usually all you need.
