Question about Boba's payout...

You guys are probably right, it's just so unnecessarily unclear. So I figure, after assigning my next zeta, I'll add this to Bob's, everything else remaining the same, and tell you what happens. Should know by the end of the week.

The "Defense Penetration" stat under "General" is 0 for every single character. I really don't know why it's there.

When an ability states it affects Defense penetration, it actually means armor and resistance penetration. I have tested in GW with Boba and he definitely does more damage after payout--in fact lining up nicely with the calculations I did for what you would expect.

P.S., you wouldn't be able to see any difference comparing stat pages for two different players. Not only does the bonus come into play during the match, but he has to get his payout first. Your friend has a different value because of gear/mods.

I’m glad I found this thread. I’ve been asking in my guild discord and haven’t gotten an answer yet. But, my Boba is G12+2


And it still shows him with 0 defense penetration. His armor penetration show up as shown here.
I was just wondering what the actual conversion is for his armor penetration to defense penetration. Thanks for the help!

It's direct. If his armor penetration is 203, that means it will be 609 after payout. That's enough to get through anything except raid Sion and maybe a few other tough chars with stacked defense.

My next ability is going to be this... just as soon as I get five more omegas...
