Question about speed up

So, I have a general question about speed up and a specific question about it concerning Poggles Droid Assault and how that affects IG-88.

The description I found is that speed up grants +25% speed. But in the specific case above, how will this work? 88 has a speed of 118. With +25% that is 147,5. From the point he gets speed up I'm assuming he will fill his meter equal to a 147 speed character, but how will it affect him in the first round? I guess he will act before any characters with the same speed, but can he act before, say a 122 speed character?

  • When Poggle apply the speed up, the turn meter of IG-88 is (142-118)*10 = 240 points less than Poggle, since then the speed is increased to 147,5 so it's the first 760 points in a speed of 118 and the other 240 points in a speed of 147,5 it is a speed average of 125,08, so in the first round he will play before a character who have a speed of 122, for example before Han (121) or Phasma (121).
  • Thanks! Wasn't sure if speed worked the same way since they changed it, but now I think I've got the hang of it. So basically he should act before any character with a speed of 125 or less, I take it. Unless he is already dead, which tends to happen
  • I also did the numbers for IG-86:

(142-116)*10 = 260 points less than Poggle, since then the speed is increased to 145 so it's the first 740 points in a speed of 116 and the other 260 points in a speed of 145, so is (116 x 0,74) + (145 x 0,26) = average of 123,54 so IG-86 will be faster than Greedo (122), Phasma (121), Resistance Trooper (121), Han (121), Tusken Raider, Plo Koon, Darth Vader, Ima-Gun Di, Magmatrooper, Tusken Shaman, IG-88, Kit Fisto, Luminara, Teebo, Aayla Secura, FOTP, Savage, IG-86 and Kylo Ren in the first turn, but slower than Jawa (124), Daka (136) and QGJ (137), for example, in comparison playing with Poe, when then all characters with a speed lower than 142 are slower than IG-86.
  • Since your question was answered. Does anyone know how speed down works on a toon that already has speed up? It says speed down, but no debuff is applied.
  • I would think they negate each other, so you're back to your original speed.
  • @Snake2 The same as the offense down hehe If a character have offense up for 1 turn and someone applies offense down for 2 turns, then when the offense up is finished the offense down start, so will be 1 turn with offense up and 1 turn with offense down, not are applied at the same time. The same with the speed down&up.
