- It's not gmy's master strike, but thrawns mechanics on gg don't specify the target is guranteed the next turn.
But according to the dev post it is.

I'm aware of that (wasn't aware there was a dev post on GMY) and now I think we're having a circular conversation. Have to read ability... mechanics... dev posts... blah blah blah.- I run sep droids in arena and I can confirm that as many times as masterstroke has given my B2 100% TM, it’s never gone before Yoda’s bonus turn. WAI.

Masterstroke text: "gains an immediate bonus turn"
Masterstroke mechanic: add 100% turn meter to unit
Masterstroke behavior: unit may get a bonus turn if no other units are at 100% TM or if the unit winds a coin toss against other units at 100% TM
A few corrections and additions:
Getting a bonus turn and getting 100% bonus turn meter is the same thing - only difference is (apparently) that the bonus turn can't be prevented by daze, shock etc. while getting 100% bonus TM can.
Han Solo is not guaranteed to go first after he received his bonus turn, whereas GMY is guaranteed to go first after receiving his immediate bonus turn.
Care to back that up with examples of the mechanics? Last I looked getting a bonus turn and getting 100% bonus turn meter was not always the same thing ...
The only difference is, that one can be prevented with shock, daze etc. while the other can't.
What kind of examples, do you request? If you want to test it, use GMY's Master Stroke while he has daze, shock, 2xconfusion or whatever. Or fight a team with GMY on it, debuff GMY with daze, shock etc. and wait for the AI to use Master Stroke. I'm sure, you will see, that he still ends up at 100% TM - which is his bonus turn.
and I demonstrated it above by showing the actual mechanics.
No, you didn't. You described the mechanics using other words. That description is different from the actual in-game mechanics.
I may be wrong and I'd like you to show me of I am so I can better understand the mechanics.
Feel free to test it yourself."jhbuchholz;c-1928789" wrote:

There are posts somewhere. Gmy was one of the few who was guaranteed the next turn, but then they eventually changed thrawns tm swap to do it too.
Very helpful :D
Although, it does help prove the point I was making which is that CG is so bad at writing ability descriptions that you have to go to a third party site to read the mechanics to fully understand what many characters do. And now it seems (unless someone can help decipher where in GMY's mechanics the "guarantee" is identified) you also have to read every dev post in the forums for details that might not be exposed in the mechanics.
I participated in the discussions back then (yes, there has been more than one). The conclusion was as I described. If you don't trust me, you can do a few tests in-game to try to prove me wrong. Feel free to do so.
I'm still hoping someone can show me what part of GMYs mechanics on swgoh.gg show the guarantee because I'd like to look at other TM gain and bonus turn skills to see how consistent this is.
swgoh.gg is a third party site, and is not always right. As far as I remember, there the difference between getting 100% TM and getting a bonus turn is described as "can't be resisted" instead of "can't be prevented" (no, I haven't rechecked lately, but I assume it's still the same)."DuneFlint;c-1928797" wrote:

Yep. That bug has been reported a looooong time ago (a couple of days after the mechanics were changed). Before the change, the mechanics were exactly as described in the ability description. The mechanics were changed, but the description remained. CG are aware of this."jhbuchholz;c-1928702" wrote:

I'm afraid, you are both wrong. Other characters are not supposed to be able to perform any actions in between GMY's Master Stroke and his immediate bonus turn. GMY is guaranteed to perform his immediate bonus turn first even if other characters are also at 100%.
I'll admit, reading the mechanics isn't always easy but I didn't see any such guarantee in there. Can you point out out for me?
The guarantee is the difference between a bonus turn (Han Solo) and an immediate bonus turn (GMY)."jhbuchholz;c-1928720" wrote:

I don't think you could have missed the point more. I'm not arguing with how it works. I don't care if you're right or wrong. My point is, as a new person picking up the game today, there is no way in game to know that "bonus turn", "immediate bonus turn", and "100% TM" aren't all the same.
I guess the best solution is to change all of the ability description to, "good ask Waquai, he participated in the discussions."
Also, this is a crap answer that further proves my point:"Waqui;c-1928946" wrote:

You shouldn't have to test a stand alone ability. This says enough about the poor description writing in game.
